I don't know it all, exactly, but here are the basics.
1. Every team has two designated rivals (OSU's are UM and PSU, UM's
are MSU and OSU, PSU's are, of course, OSU and MSU, and MSU's are
obviously therefore UM and PSU) I don't know what the other schools
rivals are off the top of my head.
2. You always play your designated rivals every year
3. Since there are 6 other conference games, and 8 other conference
teams, two teams are left out each year. Actually, you go in two year
cycles of teams left out, the other 6 get a home and an away game.
4. After two years, the two teams left out rotate in, and two other
teams rotate out.
5. schedules are made in 4 year chunks. Due to having eleven teams
this ends up creating some anomolies at the edge of the four years,
such as this year, when OSU has to play Wisconsin at wisconsin, even
though they did so last year. Last year was the end of one 4 year
chunk, this is the start of a new 4 year chunk.
That's all I know.
