Fellow Disc Golfers,

Announcing this year's Iron Man tournament at Pinchot's Boulder Woods
course. As in the past, it's a charity tournament to benefit Multiple
Sclerosis playing 100 holes (5 rounds of 20). If you can't make it,
consider sponsoring a hole. All donations you can collect are deeply
appreciated.

If you choose to register on-line, the link should be set up on
B.W.C.C.'s homepage early next week.

Thank you very much,

Bob 'Old Disc' Eberly

Thanks guys. Yes, unfortunately, I was by myself. To make matters worse, as I
walked from #11's basket to the Rec tee for #12, I flopped down in a depression,
semi-twisting my left ankle. As I side-armed my drive on #12, I transfered my
weight from right foot to left left...and the left ankle nearly buckled. Yikes.
I thought I shanked it into the pine tree on the left, as usual. It just kissed
the tree, then dive bombed into the basket. What a weird feeling to walk
non-stop from the tee to the basket! Got a birdie on #13 which made me happy.

Special thanks to the park crew for keeping the course looking great as always,
"the usual suspects" who spend their time on the course picking up trash(Mikey &
others), and Clint for giving me the delightful ultra-light (but PDGA approved)
Quest AT Inferno which was what I chucked. Their ultra-light discs are
_awesome_! Highly recommended for the Rec/beginner!! ANY squirrel can throw 'em!
;)

On-Line pre-registration for this year's 8th Annual 100-Hole Iron Man
Disc Golf Tournament for The MS Society will be extended until
Wednesday, 9/30.

As of 9/27, an outstanding 25 players have registered. 16 of the 20
holes have been sponsored. If you can't make it to the event, consider
contributing to The National MS Society by sponsoring one of the last 4
holes. Co-sponsoring a hole with a friend may be an easier option.

For the players attending the event, collect extra MS contributions by
talking to your friends, co-workers, and family members. Explain what
good cause you're playing 100 holes of disc golf for next Sunday.

ATTENTION LADY GOLFERS: ENOUGH WOMEN GOLFERS HAVE REGISTERED TO WARRANT
A SEPARATE WOMEN'S DIVISION WITH YOUR OWN PAYOUTS (NO CLOCK). LADIES
COME ON OUT AND PLAY 100 HOLES FOR MS.

Hey everyone, our beautiful 54 hole course needs some love and attention. If
anyone out there has some free time they can lend to put towards the effort, I
am sure we all would be thankful. As Jay. has stated the cc and blue X need it
the most, but other areas could use a bit of attention too.
My phone # is 717-634-8018. I will be out there almost everyday until the
autumn open so call or email and let me know when you can help and I can let you
know what to do. Or if you just happen to be in the area, sticks that clutter
the fairways need to be cleared and trash always needs to be picked up. I can
provide trash bags to anyone who wants them. Call anytime.
I may put up a few dates to get a group of folks out working at one time, feel
free to let me know what times and dates work the best for you people so I can
pick the best time to get a group out there. Thanks for your attention.

Hey friends,
This upcoming Saturday 10/03/09 , the usual tag/league round tee off will be at
10am. After the round Jon Stump and anyone else who would like to stay
afterwards, will be doing some course clean up. Even if you didnt play in the
round you can come out with the group to help with this endevor if you can spare
the time.  I would say be in the blue lot around 1130am to 12pm if your coming
after the league round. If anyone feels up to it feel free to come out at about
945am to throw with the league prior to the clean up.  Sadly I cannot make it
Sat. I will be attending the Lehigh Valley Open.  But thanks for all the help
everyone!!   Good luck saturday. Hope to see everyone at the Iron Man @ Boulder
Woods Sunday!!!

We WILL have a lunch wagon available for the CODORUS AUTUMN OPEN.
Larry Aumen... will have his lunch wagon at the tournament between the hours of
11am and 1:30 am. Hamburgers, Crab Cakes, Hot Dogs, Italian sausages, soda

The park is allowing this for the convenience of our tournament participants

Just want to say "Thanks" for everyone who is doing even the smallest thing to
help clean up Codorus, and help with tournaments, and continuing to promote disc
golf at Codorus and beyond.

I am hoping to get out to the registration building after work on Friday....
probably between 5 & 5:30 ish. Get tables / chairs organized.

The Bathroom on the BLUE course WILL be functional for the tourney... please
send a thanks to the parks people for doing that for us.

Let Cindy, the secretary, know you appreciate the things they do for us.
ciwilliams@...

We only get a few times a year to put on a tournament of this magnitude, so lets
take advantage of it and have some fun and good memories... and don't forget my
favorite tourney we have is coming on Oct 31 - NORTH VS SOUTH 4 -- playing all
54 holes from the AM tees with everyone in one OPEN division. Cheap entry of
$20 / Minimum of a dirty dozen needed for each side.

See you all at the Autumn Open on saturday - come on nice weather !!

Just want to say thanks to everybody that made this event possible. Good
turnout, good payout, beautiful course. We couldn't have had a prettier day!
Even though the wind was a bit much at times, I think it kept the rain away.

Tim: Thanks for taking care of the Park, and all the behind
the scenes work that make disc golf at Codorus possible. How about Casa De
Conrad?
Julie and Amanda: having someone to take care of registrations,
scores and payouts is such a help for a TD. I know Jay. appreciates it, and I do
too!
Bill: You're the best mouthpiece a TD could ask
for.
Fred, Wayne, Stumpy and anyone else spending time out there
keeping her looking good. It's appreciated and noticed by all.
Jay.:
You really are my hero. I want to be like you when I grow
up.

Thanks to everyone that I played with as well. Lindsey, I
am so jealous that you can throw left and right handed. And thanks to my brother
Tim for caddying for me. My shoulders feel great!

OUTSTANDING WORK!

Congrats to all involved! :) What an incredible amount of work/effort!

Joe
P.S. Just curious - did you set up 2 additional holes to make a round of 20 or
repeat 2 of the 18 to make 20? (Just fond memories of BWCC's old holes 16-18)

We split #8 and #16 into two holes each (8A & 8B)(16A & 16B).
