28 Jul 2009 10:53:40Sky Sport 24 reported last night that Premier League giants
Liverpool had accepted a €4.5 million bid from Serie A club Napoli for Italy
international full-back Andrea Dossena.

The
27-year-old had expressed his desire to return to the peninsula after
enduring a difficult time at Anfield last season and was also linked
with a move to Juventus earlier this summer, but Napoli have now moved
to fill the void left by the departure of Daniele Mannini on the left
flank.

“It is just a matter of days,” agent Roberto La Florio said this morning on
Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“The two clubs have reached an agreement, Liverpool have accepted Napoli’s
proposal but I am not in a position to say more.

“As
far as Andrea is concerned, there will be no problems. As I said, it’s
just a matter of days. As soon as Napoli call us, we will sort out
everythink.”

On the other hand, Dossena is still cautious and
refused to be drawn on his future yesterday: “I don’t know anything
yet, we’ll see what happens in the coming days,” he said.
