Napoli have made it clear with their efforts in the transfer market that they
are desperate to achieve
European qualification for the 2010-11 season.
The Azzurri managed to sign Fabio Quagliarella from Udinese on the very
first day of this summer’s trade period, whilst they also
acquired the formerly co-owned Luca Cigarini of Atalanta and Parma.
According to the latest reports from Calciomercato.it, they
are keen to add further experience and quality to their midfield by bringing in
Fiorentina’s Mario Alberto Santana.
The Partenopei have reportedly met with the Viola in order to discuss a
potential deal for the player, who certainly would assist their quest to
qualify for either the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League in 2010.
The
27-year-old attacking midfielder missed the second half
of last season as a result of a serious knee injury; however, when
firing, he is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous players of
his kind in Serie A.
