According to Sky, Napoli have signed goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis from Sevilla
who is expected to be their first choice keeper in the 2009-10 season.
The shot stopper never settled in Sevilla since joining the club in 2007 and was
subsequently loaned to Galatasaray for the 2008-09 campaign, where he enjoyed
some success, being called up as Italy third-choice goalkeeper on a number of
occasions.
Napoli have reportedly beaten off competition from Genoa for his signature and
the 32-year-old will sign a three-year deal with the Partenopei.
De Sanctis has also played for Pescara and Juventus during his career, but his
best spell was with Udinese, where he made a name for himself with over 200
appearances between 1999 and 2007.
Napoli have already signed Fabio Quagliarella this summer and are looking to
reinforce the squad after falling well short of expectations this past season.
