Cruz denies Napoli talks

Inter striker Julio Cruz is not on the verge of a sensational switch to Napoli,
according to the Argentine’s agent.
The Nerazzurro made 14 Serie A appearances last term, scoring seven goals, but
has been linked with a summer exit after David Suazo’s arrival at the San Siro.
“Cruz to Napoli? I don’t think so, his wages are too high for them,” said Jorge
Czysterpiller in an interview to Radio Marte.
“I don’t believe that a move to the Stadio San Paolo is likely, even if the
player were to reduce his salary. I don’t think the Azzurri are willing to spend
that much money.
“Cruz wants to stay at Inter, he has reiterated this often in the past. I have
not spoken about this operation with sporting director Pierpaolo Marino.
“Any possible conversations will only take place after August 15, when I return
to work,” concluded Czysterpiller.
Cruz had recently stated that he was not interested in leaving the Italian
champions, even if Suazo’s arrival has intensified competition for places in the
starting line-up.
