A special farewell game has been arranged to mark the retirement of Juventus
veteran Ciro Ferrara.
The 38-year-old will hang up his boots in the summer but not before a June 9
‘testimonial’ in his hometown of Napoli.
A host of Ferrara’s past and present teammates will feature at the Stadio San
Paolo to celebrate his awesome career.
The former Italian international started his playing days at Napoli in 1984 and
won two Scudetti and a UEFA Cup with the Azzurri.
He moved to Juventus in 1994 as a result of the club’s financial problems and
continued to win just about everything on offer with the Bianconeri.
The defender will remain in football next season though, as he has already been
handed a new role at Juve.
