Napoli-Sora 2-0

A Win that doesn't convince

Napoli, after the away defeat at Padova, gets an important victory against Sora.

The Azzurris did not play well, but today it was important to get the three
points. It was positive the addition in midfield of Montesanto and Montervino,
with the latter that in the last 20 minutes of play leads the team positively
contributing to the final victory; exceptional his slalom
between the Sora defenders, at the 48th minute of the second time, which ended
with a lob just missing the post.

In the first half Napoli found it difficult to find the correct move to put Sora
in difficulty. The 1st Napoli goal arrives in a lucky manner at the 25th minute;
a Varricchio cross, played on the right wing by Montesanto, was
netted by an awkward kneeing by the opposition defender Carnevali. After 5
minutes comes the goal of the definitive 2-0. Roberto Sosa scores it from the
penalty spot; in the move that takes Napoli two ahead needs to be
highlighted the exchange between Sosa and Varricchio, with the latter fouled by
Morleo in the penalty area. For the last man offence by Morleo, this is the
reason he is expelled by the referee Herberg, the Azzurri, in addition
to the penalty, are left with an extra man to play with for the rest of the
game. But Napoli did not known how to exploit this superiority suffering the
athletic freshness of the opponents. In the second half Abate replaces an
out of sorts Toledo. It's the same Abate that gave some problems to Sora on the
right wing almost scoring at the 14th minute. Sora however did not put Belardi
under a lot of pressure. Capuano's team became dangerous only when
they hit the outside of the post with Roberto Magliocco. An important victory
for Napoli that, after a lapse of concentration with Padova, has succeeded to
offer a solid performance even though, without any doubt, they need to improve
the way they play. In the midweek game with Foggia the Azzurris are called to an
ulterior show of character that must allow Ventura's team to improve their
current league position.
