Calcio/Napoli: 10 Days Left In Order to avoid Liquidation/Bankruptcy of the
"Societa' Sportiva Calcio Napoli."

3 June - After the alarming news of the possibility of liquidating the
team's assets, the president of the "Societa' Calcio Napoli," Mr. Naldi, has
clarified the situation. This morning - he made known to journalists - he
came to the Courthouse not to present to the tribunal the financial records
and books, but in order to ask technical clarifications, seeing how it would
be impossible to convene an assembly of the football club's financial
associates. That meeting has been convened for Monday, 14 June. On that
date it will have be determined what is owed the former Napoli president,
Mr. Corbelli, who claims financial remuneration of 31 million Euros from the
beleaguered club. There is therefore still some hope, and time, to ask for
a formal financial reckoning, in order to avoid liquidation (and thus the
end) of the club.
