Ancona-Napoli 3-2   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1724 of 3606 |
During a counteractive game, infested by defensive errors,
the first defeat of the management Scoglio take over arrived, but also due to
the result a diminutive convincing performance. Scoglio immediately lines up a
3-4-1-2 with the new purchase Montervino on the field.
Ancona begins its great performance and after only 40 seconds Ganz starts his
warm up by grazing the net on the left with a meteor from outside the area. It
is only his warning, in fact on the 8th minute mark, Ganz arrived in the middle
of penalty area, made a quick move and anticipated D’Angelo and found himself
face to face with Mancini, and with a soft kick; he gives Ancona the advantage
point.
Ancona dominated the game with their short players, but fast and constantly
pressing, and a Napoli, which did not know how to react, so it’s predictable
that they were always forced to defend. Meanwhile even upfront, the Neapolitans
have double coverage, and their few and far initiatives were pretty sporadic to
create any real fear to the opposition.
In fact it’s from one of these rare attempts, on the 21st,
then the equalizer took place: Montervino splendidly opens
for Martinez on the right side, the Colombian overcomes his
marker and crosses in the penalty area, Scarpi awaits near
the first pole and doesn't go out to the ball. While the
misunderstanding among the defense occurs, Dionigi takes
advantage and pushed the ball in an empty net.
Naples has now regained more confidence but their chances are limited to their
counter attacks, looking for sudden speed to create difficulty for the home
team. On the 40th Dionigi has a good ball but his shot is diverted in the corner
by a defender.
In the second half, the Ancona team is always on the offense, and Napoli is more
preoccupied in defending and rarely overcomes midline, with a few exceptions of
some very long passes, which are easily intercepted by their adversary’s
defense.
On the 51st, the ex Graffiedi, served by Daino, traps the ball in the penalty
area and wasted the ball up high.
There was a break for Napoli on the 63rd. Pasino took a free kick, Stellone
spins the ball with his head, and wasted yet an other chance to the side.
Then Ancona’s best moment arrived, from the left flank of Naples. There was a
cross in the penalty area, on the 69th, Baldini jumps and misses, Ganz
thankfully picks up the ball in the small area, then beats a guiltless Mancini.
At that moment, Scoglio risks everything by inserting Floro
Flores and removing a tired Bocchetti. The Neapolitans tried their chances with
a 3-3-1-3, but it was rather confusing till the end of the match. Naples spurred
themselves on the attack leaving the Anconitani, their counter attack
initiatives, and on the 89th from the left Ganz scores again, his triple header,
with a beautiful diagonal shot in the low right hand corner of the keeper. There
is only enough time to announce the second goal of Dionigi marked on the 96th
from a deflection of a corner kick.
In any event, this defeat came from a very determined Ancona, who entered the
field with a notably superior team in better physical conditions then the
Azzurri, which can use this lesson to make them realize to keep their feet and
heads to the ground, for the unjustified enthusiasms of the entire Neapolitan
organization. Naples has to continue its growth to undertake the road to
recovery, similarly to that of the first half against Messina, and must become a
vivacious team, well organized with an offensive attitude, like only Ancona was
able to demonstrate it today.
