      We currently have five CMYM swimmers registered for this Saturday's meet.

    Because of the distance, some carpooling seems to be in order.  Frank has
some commitments, and will be going up on his own.  Jerry and I will be meeting
at the Catonsville YMCA at noon, along with anybody else who wants to come with
us.  To cover our bases, Mark and Harold could meet at the Howard County YMCA
and be the vanguard for any Ellicott City based folks who wish to go.

I have a lot of people ask me about team T-shirt and other logo gear (cap with
names).

If you are interested in any team gear. Please let me know. I need about 20
people for t-shirts but more would push down the cost. Just reply to this email

Hello everybody,

Maura dropped the Iron Ball off last Tuesday evening before our departure to
Florida... I am only getting some downtime right now to send this note.  It has
been crazy as you can all imagine.

It was very neat unwinding the ball and going through its layers to find all
sorts of things.  Thank you so much for the good wishes and the inspirational
messages (and the goodies for the girls).  I will remember these during the good
times, and especially during the tough times in the race, which I know I will
have plenty of.

I am looking forward to getting back in the pool again sometime in the next few
weeks.

OK, I know this is a swim team list, and this is about a run, but here
goes (seeing as how my last message to the group was about a bike
ride!)...

This year was a pretty brutal race year for me.  I've been giving some
thought as to what types of things I want to get into next year.  I'm
not looking for another brutal year... but I don't want to fall
completely out of things either.  I've been keeping my eyes open for
something to keep me going... "something interesting".  Well, an old
college friend of mine just tuned my into a running race that I'm
considering doing.  Actually, it's a relay... a 12-person relay.
We're considering joining a team that's getting put together right
now... or possibly even looking into starting our own team (depending
on how much interest we can drum up).  So, I wanted to start putting
feelers out there... just to see if anybody would have any interest in
doing something like this.

It's called the American Odyssey Relay.  The basic idea is that you
have a relay of 12 people that combine together to run 200 miles from
Gettysburg to DC.  It's broken up into a bunch of different legs and
works out to each person doing about three 10Ks (roughly) over the
course of a weekend (April 23-24)... of varying difficulty.  You
actually spend most of the time riding around in a van having fun with
your new (smelly) best friends (sounds awesome!).  Teams can be
different sizes (with different running amounts per person), but 12 is
the recommended nominal size.  I've never done it before (never even
heard of it), so I'm a little curious about all of the logistics...
should be interesting... and surely a fun time.

Anyway, it sounds pretty interesting... definitely different.  Check
it out.  If you think you might be interested, let me know.  No
commitments required just yet... just trying to get a feel for level
of interest.

      Part of the fun of our meet will be the opportunity to swim relays with our
team mates.  Unfortunately, the math does not always cooperate, but we do our
best to include as many people as possible.  We will have four relays that will
