Every now and then in life, you experience an event or a person or,
in this case, a TEAM that changes you for the better. I am finding
it difficult to express to you the enormity of my gratitude for your
support, your comfort and your love.
The past year for me and for my family has been a difficult one as we
helped my Mom face leukemia and eventually, helped her succumb to
it. It's not easy to escort someone to the next life and I feel like
you all must have understood that.
At difficult times through our journey, your cards, your flowers,
your food, your hugs, your kind words and, even noticing that I
wasn't at practice, somehow made me and my family stronger.
As if that wasn't enough, after Mom had passed, your presence
continued to be strong as so many of you visited the funeral home,
attended the funeral and made a donation to Sisters Academy in Mom's
name. My extended family all asked, "Wow, who's CMYM? They really
have been great!" and my Dad and siblings were proud to answer that
you were Susan's swim team. My family truly feels blessed to be
associated with such an amazing group. Know that you not only held
me up but held them up as well.
I'm afraid I can never leave this group. For now, it will take my
life to repay your kindnesses. Thank you from the entire Elliott and
Mosmiller family.
See you at practice, Susan
