Dear CHS and CMYM Family,
Before the rumors start to fly, I wanted to put things straight and have you
hear it from me. First, thank you all for the great meals, care, love and
prayers in the past few weeks as I recuperated from ACL repair surgery- We are
truly grateful! Yesterday, thanks great medical care (and me, being more humble
than I thought I could be) I was admitted to Howard County General with a blood
clot in my leg. I am home and taking it easy now but will be giving myself
heparin shots for a week and on Cumadin for 6 months or so. (I used to think
it was an old person's drug!) I am so thankful that I was able to come home in
light of the situation. The kids are fine and barely knew that I was in any
danger--- just the way we wanted it to play out!
Long and short, I are Ok and more humble than ever before (that doesn't mean
that I will stop being feisty in this recovery!) I guess getting back to school
and to my swimming are small in the grand scheme of things! Thank you all for
you inquires and meals recently. We are blessed to count you all as friends!
I'll be back Monday after a long weekend of taking it easy! Feel free to
forward this to our extended family of people who would want to know what is
happening but please make sure they know that I am really fine!
Again, thanks for your support and care! :) Betsy (and Alan, Andrew, Dalton
and Kayleigh!)
