If you are not swimming the 4.4 Mile swim in Great
Chesapeake Bay Swim (GCBS) then I would like you to
swim the the 1.1 Mile. This event is on the same day
(June 12, 2005) as the 4.4 Mile Swim.

The 1.1 Mile Swim starts at the far side of the Bay
Bridge and goes out about 1/3 mile, the perpendicular
to the shore for 1/3 mile and finally straight home
for the last 1/3 mile. Wetsuits are not required but
they are recommend. I will get the prices for the
Xterra 2005 model wetsuits and email them out soon.

The cost for the 1.1 Mile is $40 and this year they
will NOT be allowing "day of swim" entry. Also they
are reducing the number of swimmers allowed in this
event to 450!!

Currently there are 122 signed up so HURRY UP and
ENTER!!!

In case you are interested the Bay 4.4 Mile Swim
filled up in 45 minutes!!! A lot of the people who
missed out on this will be doing the 1.1 so do miss
out and sign up today!!
