Well it's just about that time of year to kick loose THE SWIM -- GCBS 2005.  We have had the info. page as well as an entry instruction page posted to advise you all on the swim and entry procedures.  No joke about it, they are a definite MUST READ to guarantee a successful entry process.

Please, please take the time to read the material.  The only problems last year with entry process and swim packet pick up process were with those who did not read the posted instruction pages.

Please note that last year the 4.4 mile swim closed out in approximately 5 1/2 hours.  So those who waited until 8:00 p.m. to sit at their computer to enter  were in for a rude awakening.  To the Wait List they went.

If you cannot enter yourself due to a personal or work conflict, please instruct someone to sit at the computer and do it for you (with your required info. -- perhaps a fellow swimmer would be the best choice).

The 4.4 Mile Bay Swim entry process opens this Sat., 2/5/05 at 8:30 a.m.  (Will take in 660 entrants prior to forming a Wait List)  The swim is only permitted to allow 600 swimmers into the water on event day.  The overage allows for no shows and drops, and still we always go to the Wait List.

The 1 Mile Bay Challenge entry process opens this Sun., 2/6/05 at 8:30 a.m.  New this year -- there will be NO 1 MILE SWIM ENTRY ON EVENT DAY!
Must pre-enter up to 4 days prior to the 1 Mile Swim. 

I am not going to restate here all the qualification requirements and how to enter your correct swim wave on the entry form.  It is all posted --- GO READ IT.

Please realize that if you do not correctly complete the on-line entry form it will not process.

If after reading the posted info., and you do have a question -- just email me prior to the entry process and I will be glad to help you out.

Also -- do not keep clicking on the SUBMIT button to charge your entry fee.  Every time you click on the button you are entering another CHARGE!

If you are borrowing your mother's, father's, friend or spouse's charge card for the entry fee PLEASE BE SURE TO ADVISE THEM who LIN-MARK Computer Sports is and what the amount is about.  We have had quite a few instances where the card holder (who receives/pays the bills) does not call us to explain the charge.  They lodge a complaint/stop payment against LIN-MARK with the credit card company, who in turn cancels the fee charged and notifies us of what occurred.

Your entry will then be cancelled until payment is received by money order or check PLUS a $25 cancellation fee.

After this week-end's opening of the swim, more detailed swim day info. will begin to be posted.
