A
lot of you have asked for this information so I am sending it out to the group
so I don’t leave off anyone.
Barbara J. Jacobson passed away
unexpectedly on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her home in Ocean City, Maryland.
Barbara was the wife of the late William P. Jacobson of Fairfax, VA. She
was born in Withee, Wisconsin. She lived most of her life in Northern
Virginia with her husband. During that time, she was an excellent teacher
specializing in English as a Second Language and loved by her students.
She was very proud to have earned two masters degrees.
After Bill’s death, she lived
her dream in retirement with a home on the seashore. Barbara volunteered
in her community by working at the library; by teaching English as a Second
Language to foreign students; and by helping the children in the community who
had no one else through the Maryland Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Association in Worcester County, MD. Barbara was also an avid
traveler. During her retirement, she took annual trips to various places
around the world, such as Russia, Poland, Japan and China. Barbara was a
loving mother and sister who held the family together. She is survived by
her son, Michael P. Jacobson; her daughter, Stacy Jacobson Ice; her grandsons,
Aaron and Adam Jacobson; and by her siblings – JoAnne Coleman, Robert
Johnson, Sandra Lamb and Linda Reinke.
