The early pro racer forks did have a rake, I recently got a NOS set
of
USA made undrilled pro racer forks and they are raked. I got these
thinking that the forks on my current bike were bent - they are not!
I asked JDB who confirmed they were taked. Early Thruster made forks
are very raked. This might help

Drilled or undrilled USA made Hutch Pro Racer forks in decent
condition, finish doesnt matter as long as theyre structurely sound
and the drop outs arent chewed or cracked! Please let me know!
Thanks

I purchased a set of forks to replace the forks I have now.
They came off a Junior racer "special K"
They measure and look just like pro forks.
Thing is, they have a rake or bend to them.
The forks are from the 82-83 era.
My pro racer forks don't have any rake but these do.
I put up a pick to show what I mean.
The left ones are my pro's and the right are the ones from the junior.
Did hutch make rake versions or are these forks bent?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/26804308@N05/2730862374/
Thanks for all the help guys. I purchased the forks off ebay and yeah,
they are just like pro racer forks.
I do have a new question.
Did they ever make the forks have a slight angle to them?
This is the 4th set I have picked up and its the 2nd set that I have
noticed a slight angle to them. Or would it be that they are just
simply bent from hard jumping?
When I compare them to the other set I can see a difference.
The first set I have look straight. The new ones I have have a slight
bend.
They are both pre-serial number non drilled era.
But like I said, this is the 2nd set of 4 that have this bend. I
figured the first set were bent so they went back to the seller.

Maybe at some point you could get the junior with the Lil Holeshot
forks to save weight.
But as far i know, juniors used a pro racer fork.

Are you sure? My set came on an all original Special K aka Junior
Racer. They fit a 20" wheel and are just a tad bit lighter than
regular HUTCH forks.

Junior Racers actually used a different fork. It has thinner legs and
the one I have has two holes in each dropout instead of one like the
Pro Racer fork. Although a Pro Racer fork will fit and work.

JJR I have a pair of redline forks, not sure if they are the ones you
are looking for.Andy.
Hey guys,
I know this is a bit much for me to ask, but I need some dimensional
information about the spindles for a set of Hutch Mini Pedals, I have
access to the machinery and the stock material, and am going to
fabricate a set of spindles for them (cause I havent been able to
locate a set)
If anyone can get me the dimensions(a drafting would be great, but I
know, thats a pipe dream!) I would be grateful!
If you can measure with Micrometers and calipers That would be awesome
too, as I want to get as close to the original as I can (+/- .003 was
the tolerance they used from what I was told by an ex machinist that
worked here in the Baltimore facility)
Thanks!
Steve
Couple questions for you guys.
Question 1: Trying to tell if a set of handle bars I have are in fact
pro racer bars.
Could someone who has a set post measurements?
Please give detail on where you measured from.
Question 2: I purchased a second pro racer. The front forks are not
drilled for the breaks but there is a small hole drill on the bottom
tips of the forks near the drop outs.
Also the welded fork ends are grind and polished smooth.
Was this something they did to pro racer forks when they started
adding serial numbers?
ok guys.
i try it in this way to find a old school redline tapered fork.
it's not a hutch thing but i hope via this way to find what i need.
so take a look in your old stuff.....
regards,
Johan

Thats what I am afraid of. So I am trying to figure out how exactly do
I measure the bars?
200 bucks is a lot to pay for a set of raider bars.
