Pam, I was the one guy that showed up when you two were leaving, and stuck around to run for a while. Eventually, we had 6-7 other people show up, but we didn't really get started playing until around a quarter after 5PM.
I think it's more or less official that the game starts at 5PM, probably until we lose the sun, unless enough people plan on showing up earlier.
Cheers,
-Albert

I got there about 20 after 4 and saw only two people - both leaving.
DOH!
My vote would be either the Blackford? site (Blackford and Boynton,
SJ) or the field behind Wallenberg Park (Cottle and Dry Creek, SJ).
---
So yesterday I 'officially' checked out 3 sites:
1. Elementary School around corner on Woodard (small field lousy
condition.)
2. April Way (SJ Christian school?) seriously needs mowing...
3. What I think was Blackford (Boynton & Blackford, San Jose) - there
was an Ultimate group leaving that said they were displaced from
their normal field? by a soccer game this week. (They email to decide
if they will play each week) Was pretty large open park which had ok
lawn.
(Note Yahoo Maps doesn't show that it is a park or field, but there
was a giant field there yesterday!)
(Note Note: This field is a block north of Starbird Park in SJ,
Starbird looks too small because there are trees and a basketball
court and a baseball diamond shrinking the field area.)
Cottle and Dry Creek? (Behind Wallenberg Park) field was OK a couple
years ago when I started playing Ultimate with a pickup game that
failed...
I'll try to check out Schmidt Park but it may be too small...
Yo!
Dave
