Let me begin by stating that I tried to send this message to the
group owner to share with their groups but Yahoo! has a block that
you can not send a message to multiple group owners at once. Due to
this reason and with the Owner/Moderators permission, I am going to
post to the group directly to inform Owner/Moderator/Member alike
on what is being done.

First, let me briefly explain on how this all came about as I
started a Yahoo! Group on my favorite baseball team, the New York
Mets (I say this honestly as I am not trying to offend anyone by
being a Met fan). When I opened the group, just as any other
Owner/Moderator, I wanted a way to promote my group.

Then, I saw that other interests utilize a directory to promote
their groups so I asked myself why not do the same here. I
understand Yahoo! lookups actually does the same but why not make it
easier on everyone by having it in one central

location with easy access. I also own a Yahoo! Group on the state
of Florida, called "Gateway to Discovery" where I have done the same
with "Directory World," which the "Ultimate Sports Directory" is
also linked directly to.

Each group that this message is being posted is already linked
within the "Ultimate Sports Directory," and a reciprocal link has
also been established within this group. As stated previously, it
is my hope that Owners/Moderators/Members will take the effort to
see for yourself on what has been established. Feel free to share
this information with others that do not know about Yahoo! Groups as
we are that sure they will enjoy it as much as I did in building the
group .

All sport fans recall "Abbott and Costello" gave us that infamous
baseball skit "Who" is on first, "What" is on second, and "I Don't
Know" is on third, as do you recall the name of their regular
shortstop? Thus, we all have our favorite sport(s)/team(s) which we
enjoy following, so why not have our own place to talk sports?
