I gotta say ... I was excited to get Meloan, who I thought would
be a back-end reliever ... and I have been disappointed by his
progress to date, to be sure ... but ... great googly moogly, why
wouldn't you simply claim Abreu (at the expense of, say, Matt
Herges or any number of mooks) instead of trading a guy who is
still young and still has potential, while Abreu, for all his performance
this season, is going to be older than 32 for the rest of his life?

What am I missing here? Meloan shaved Torey Lovullo's dog?
Meloan is secretly an Ahmedinejad supporter? Meloan keeps
putting Icy Hot in Matt LaPorta's underpants? Why the heck would
you trade Jon Meloan for Winston Bloody Abreu?
