That is incorrect, actually. Reverse the records and make the Indians 5-1
against the Tigers, and we'd be in first place by a half a game. 5-1 to 1-5 is
an 8 game swing in the "games behind" part of the standings.

Don't think so. Each win is a half-game gain in the GB column. Each loss is a half-game drop in the GB column. So if 1-5 were instead 5-1, then that would...

I was hoping I wouldn't have to break it down to anyone, but I suppose I must. The Indians are 22-30 right now and the Tigers are 28-21. We are 7.5 back....
