1. LADIES' TEAM TOURNAMENT DRAWS CLOSER!

In mid-October of 2008, the Osaka (Japan) Ladies' Badminton Federation is
planning on holding their ladies' team tournament at the Orange County Badminton
Club in Orange, California. In order for the U.S. to field teams for the
tournament, the search for those interested is starting. We would like to have
at least 50 teams of 6-8 ladies participate from around the U.S. Database
information will be used to send out flyers/ tournament information. Players do
not need to be a member of USAB or MBA, and they can be national, club, or
social players.

We need female players age 25 and up recreational level, club level, and senior
national level. This tournament has always been held in Osaka, Japan, but is
coming to the U.S.—it may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many female
players. Interested? Talk with your playing friends and check your calendar
for 2008. If you are interested, please contact Mary Ann Bowles at
maryannbowles@... so we can begin to collect contact data for tournament
bulletins.

2. 11/1/2007 Newly Elected USA Badminton President

Paisan Rangsikitpho has been elected President of
USA Badminton at the Board of Directors meeting
held in Orange, California on October 27, 2007.
His term begins immediately and will run through
October, 2008.
