1. USOC requests comments on USAB Reforms
Hi Everyone:
We criticize the USAB and perhaps it is
deserved - however, there is some serious
discussion on USAB reforms and your input is
invited. Please take a moment to read the
following e-mail and send your thoughts to Eric
at the USOC as soon as possible. You dont have
to be a USAB member to help improve the state
of badminton in the USA.
Thanks

10/10/2007 USOC Request for Comments on USAB Reforms
by Eric J. Parthen (USOC)
October 9, 2007
Dear USA Badminton Members:
On behalf of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), I'd like to take this
opportunity to thank you for your support and participation in USA Badminton
(USAB).
As you may be aware, the USOC has put a priority on working with National
Governing Bodies to evaluate and improve organizational capabilities including
in the areas of governance, management and operational efficiency. The simple
philosophy is that stronger organizations will create and administer better
programs that will help athletes to achieve sustained competitive excellence on
the field of play.
USAB is currently one of the organizations that we are working with and I'd like
to take this opportunity to invite your input on areas that you believe USAB
should look to reform. The majority of our current focus is on the governance of
USAB but I welcome your comments in all areas. Specific comments or the identity
of those submitting comments will not be shared directly with anyone at USAB.
However, we will evaluate the information we receive and share summaries as
appropriate.
Comments can be sent to my attention by October 25, 2007 via email, facsimile or
mail. My contact information is as follows:
Eric J. Parthen
Director, NGB Organizational Development
1 Olympic Plaza
Colorado Springs, CO 80909-5760
Fax number: (719) 866-4288
Email: eric.parthen@...
Thank you in advance for your participation and for your continued support of
USA Badminton and the Olympic Movement.
Sincerely,
Eric J. Parthen
