1. McKinley update
The park district is having a Halloween party on Friday October
27, 2006. So McKinley Park Badminton Club will be closed for that
evening.

2. USAB Open Board of Director Positions
USAB Athlete Director Candidate Letter - 2 positions
(1 expires 2010 & the other in 2008)

The Board of Directors for USA Badminton consists of fifteen (15) elected
members. Seven of the fifteen directors shall be elected at-large by a vote of
the entire membership of the USAB, five shall be elected to represent each of
the five (5) recognized regions of the USAB by a vote of the USAB members of
that region and three shall be Athlete Directors. The directors are elected on a
staggered three-year term basis, so that the term of one-third of the directors
shall expire each year. (More on the USAB site...)

4. Fantasy Badminton?!?
"Jeffrey Thomas, the president of the Fantasy
Sports Trade Association, has been surprised
about the interest in the business after 13 years
in fantasy sports.

"I get calls from India on fantasy badminton,"
Thomas said."
