2. IHSA Badminton officials needed.
Our tournament is a two day tournament held at Downers Grove North High School
on Friday, May 13 and Saturday May 14th. We are looking to hire 4 officials for
Saturday, May 14. We would also like to have 2 roaming officials on Friday but
that would be a bonus for us.
Financial arrangements are $43.75 per match worked in addition to a rate of .25
cents for all mileage in excess of 100 miles. If an official works all day as a
roamer on Saturday, then we would compensate our rover $87.50 for the day in
addition to the matches that are worked.
IHSA has created badminton interpretations for high school play that we would
send in advance for the umpire to be familiar with. They really are just
clarifications of the badminton rules for high school play and just a few pages.
Anyone interested in being a part of this event can contact Susan Hinrichsen at:

In addition, this link will get folks to the IHSA badminton website. If they
click on quick facts, they can view more state tournament information.
