[From Gena]
...Leann [Du-Higashi] and I would love to have
the national played here in our backyard. Let's
try to find a nice place to play. How about
Medinah? Midwest University? Elmhurst College?
... Would need at least 8 courts, 12 is great!
Can be a high school facility, but seniors like
to have food/snacks on hand at tournament venue.
If it's a high school, there would be students
running around, not so good, unless spring
break. Community centers work well and/or
colleges. Time of year usually second week of
March, but can be flexible by a few weeks before
or after. Must not conflict or be within a week
of the Canadian Master tournament usually held
the third week of April. Also, not to conflict
with the U.S. Adult Nationals usually the second
week of April. Wood flooring would be best,
rubber courts okay, if not over concrete floor,
but over wood. I think that's it...
[Thanks to Gena Fite for spearheading the event!]
