2005 REGIONAL COACHING CONFERENCE

In line with the new high performance plan, the regions have been identified, as
the "home of future USA Badminton Olympians." The regions have a big role in
developing a huge base of athletes which will involve links with individuals,
schools and the general community. In short, the region's task is a huge one
which will involve promoting badminton, educating coaches and developing talent.

The key to a large base of quality players is having knowledgeable coaches. As a
result, USA Badminton has planned to have a bi-annual regional coaching
conference which will alternate with a national coaching conference.

In the first series of coaching conferences, USA Badminton and ( Region 2) the
Mid-West Badminton Association would like to invite people who are keen to be
coaches to register for this coaching conference. Level 1 coaches who have not
attended a face- to-face course and Level 2 coaches who attended courses two
years ago are also welcome to attend as a refresher course.
