Hi Ken! I saw these not o nley in this Savate pics but in some for pygilism. I thing that its come from the fencing, and know the changes in Savate in handposition become after meeted the england boxers (like in many east M.A.).In batasite in the links have o ne selfdefence manual (sorry but forget the autor and not sure in the year mabe1747) and here thay punching like that. I wish to tell about something that I readed in o ne Enciklopedia of martial arts , published in Belarus or Russian. Here wrote that english style of boxing (under engl.st the autor have in mind the fight o n big distanc with singles jabs) were created from o ne jew.The reason for these is that the fighter after the fight must to pay for medical help for his oponent. With those style enjuries were not big and from these the jew saved his money.:) Do you understand these and if yes what do you thing?
