Carls BKB material is the best video representation of Allanson- Winn's book I have seen to date.
I love the intensity of his presentation- you can tell by the way Carl moves he was a real fighter.

| Don't know if anyone has seen this, but I've been meaning to post it for some time. Ralph will be well-acquainted with it, but for those of you who don't have the video, it could be of real interest. Some fellow on YouTube has posted videos of Carl Cestari instructing in his rendition of bare-knuckle boxing, which as I understand it, was both a product of practical experience and his extensive reading into and application of the old fistic manuals. There is clearly a Dempsey influence, among others, such as Allanson-Winn. Carl held that modern boxing is a sport, and if the fists are to be used in a street fight, they should be so used in keeping with the techniques of bare-knuckle boxing. This is only the first video of seven. Go to the poster's ("billiardjay" http://www.youtube. Make certain that &fmt=18 is added to the end of each url for slightly higher quality. Cheers, Andrew |
