Hi Terry....

'Shak a fa'- It's an old 'Scots' term for a wrestling throw.... I'll
post more details when I get a look through my notes!

... Hi again Terry.... The term itself goes back to at least 1742 when it was written down and basically means `to try (for) a fall' - to wrestle or grapple...
