Subject: [HistoricalSwordsmanship] Manly Arts at Hampton NHS (MD) Sept 20th

Come to Hampton National Historic Site on Sunday, September 20th from 10:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for a special afternoon of “manly” sport!

Hampton National Historic Site <http://www.nps.gov/hamp/index.htm> is
Located in Towson Maryland

Manly Arts Day will feature a full day of Western Martial Arts with two
really fine instructors, Steve Huff
<http://artofcombat.org/Convention/BioSHuff.htm> and Mark P. Donnelly
<http://artofcombat.org/Convention/BioMD.htm> (oh and me too!) We will
offer participatory demos running the gamut of 18th and 19th Cent.
Martial Arts. From bare-knuckle boxing to saber to small sword to naval
weapons to Bartitsu the "Gentlemanly Art of Self Defense" as practiced
by Sherlock Holmes. ( and featured in the upcoming Movie
<http://sherlock-holmes-movie.warnerbros.com/> ).

Hope you all will consider coming. If you want to simply talk about
Swordsmanship, tour the house ,watch, participate or bout a little we
would love to have you. Part of the purpose is to get the regional
sword and WMA community together to look at ways to cooperate and
interact.
