Hi Becca,
I also highly recommend that you search for the classical methods that the
European Fencing Masters taught for endurance. Most of the information is
readily available on the internet.
I personally prefer the French system methods taught to me by Mr. Alex
Beginet, French National, USFA & varsity fencing coach at Duke University.

Hi Becca,
Running interval sprints might help your windage, but go to a sport
fencing tournament and enter the foil competition.
Then train simulating your actions in the tournament.
Then go to the next nearby tournament and enter foil and sabre.
Then enter foil, sabre and epee'.
The last tournament that I competed in I had 3 to 4 bouts every hour for 9
hours.
I collapsed onto the couch when I got home!!!
Fencing and swordfighting SCA style are much different from normal
athletic training.
Actually going to the local climbing gym and bouldering and climbing would
help.
And practicing fencing 3 to 4 times a week for 2+ hours will give you the
best training.
I hope this helps,
sincerely,

Would running sprints be a good way to train my body to not tire easily
in a bout?
Thanks for any advice,
Becca
