Dear Fencers;

I want to invite all fencers to the 4th Annual Golden Gate Fencing
tournament August 16th at the Golden Gate Renaissance festival

Last year we had 34 fencers on the field from 6 different
schools/organizations. This year we will have cash prizes for 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place.

Tournament fees will be $15 per fencer. We are a nonprofit
organization and all fees go directly to prizes, water and other
expenses to run the tournament. We guarantee that you will not fence
anyone from your guild or school until the elimination rounds. In
order for us to do this we must have both your name and the name of
the school, club or organization with which you are affiliated at
least one week prior to the tournament. This guarantee will not
apply to those fencers who register on the day of the tournament
since we will have to work you into the rounds, as there are
openings. We ask you to apply ASAP to this event. Registration and
Weapons' check opens at 9 am on Saturday. At 10:30 a.m. we will
review the basic rules and answer any questions you may have
regarding the tournament. Any organization that has 4 or more
participants in the tournament can choose someone from their group to
participate as a corner judge.
