Dear Maitre Johnson,
Hanwei currently offers a $135 steel practice hand-and-a-half sword as part of
their practical series. Though not ideal, these swords are certainly usable and
in any case they are superior to the vast majority of aluminum trainers, if only
for the fact that they are in fact steel. But unfortunately, there is still no
such thing as an inexpensive high quality longsword trainer, or at least nothing
made of metal.
