While I probably would have phrased it a bit differently, I heartily
agree with the sentiment; until I took a class from him, I had no idea
what I'd been missing. That's the reason I organized the Redwood rapier
camp this summer.
If Mr. Baleywah was this happy after a weekend, just think how much
you could learn with five solid days of classes with Maestros Martinez
and Acosta-Martinez! It's cheaper than flying out to New York to train
at his school for a week (though I certainly recommend doing that too,
if you are able).
Don't let anyone tell you that there aren't qualified teachers of
any historical fencing styles left in the world. It's just not true.
