Hi, there, I just signed onto this forum, and am very glad to have found
this resource! I have studied classical fencing(though I didn't know to call
it that) for some years, after a thoroughly unpleasant episode at the local
community college involving a VERY ungallant student and a college faculty
that sided with said twit against the Master(Long story...). Suffice it to
say, without a quality fencing school, I've been forced to study
independantly, focusing on solo drills with sabre, my preferred weapon, as
well as the occasional sparring session with a gentleman who practices WMA
and used a longsword.

I have several questions, though. Firstly, is there anyone in the vicinity
of Las Vegas, NV, on this site? I've decided to follow the advice of Maître
Nick Evangelista and could use a partner, particularly one more
knowledgeable in foil than myself. And I am NOT willing to go back to the
college...

Second, I was led to believe that there are certain combinations of fencing
techniques that are performed together, as part of a higher strategy, the
way a boxer learns to throw a jab, cross, hook, as a complete combo, as
opposed to three seperate punches thrown in series. I have found no such
discussion of such tactics on the net, and could use some advice on this
matter. Which leads to;

Third, this book that everyone has been discussing, in the "Swordmaster's
Grimoire" section(according to the table of contents), includes a section on
strategy and tactics. Is this the sort of information I'm looking for?(I'm
already half sold on ordering a copy, as soon as my next paycheck comes) :)
