Just a quick reminder that night rides start this week. Tuesday from the Lowes
on Madison Street and Thursday from Kirkwood. Both start at 6:00. You need to
have front and rear lights and of course a helmet.

Hope to see everyone out,

Lawrence

  • HI Clarksville Cycle Club members! I requested permission from your moderator to list these items on here. All these items have been kept in great condition and are looking for a new home. Please don't make any unreasonable offers. I'll list an asking price for each... I've attached pictures of everything but the shimano shoes because I can't find where I saved the photo  (110: bike rack, 114: tool kit, 112: spin doctor, 115: nike shoes). Please email me if you are interested in any of these items. Thank you, Craig Tripp

    • ASCENT SHOP TOOL KIT - asking $40
    • I'm selling a brand new Ascent Shop Tool Kit, still in original packaging, never been used.  The kit contains several essential tools for repairing your road or mountain bike, and is easily portable for storage in your garage or truck.  The kit contains the following tools:

    • NIKE ROAD BIKE/TRIATHLON SHOES - asking $60
    • I'm selling a pair of Nike ultralight carbon composite racing shoes.  These shoes are US size 10 (44 cm), and have fewer than 50 miles on them.  The three velcro straps on top makes for a quick fit in the transition area if you're into triathlons, but also ensures a snug fit for a more efficient and comfortable ride.  The ultralight and stiff carbon fiber composite bottoms ensure you're not wasting effort while pedaling, and the light and breathable mesh uppers help keep your feet cool in the heat of summer.  These shoes are top of the line, exactly what Lance Armstrong used to wear before his retirement, and weigh in at an extremely light 295 grams (10.6 oz.)  I originally bought these shoes in 2004, but never got the cleats for my pedals.  I packed them up for a move shortly thereafter, and just recently discovered them.  These shoes are in terrific condition, almost like they were new in the box.

    • Spin Doctor Pro G3 BIKE REPAIR STAND - asking $175
    • I'm selling a Spin Doctor PRO G3 repair stand.  The stable tripod, adjustable height and 360 degree rotating clamp make working on any bike easier, while the compact folded size simplifies storage.  The clamp is easily adjustable in order to fit a variety of bike frames and components, for both your road or mountain bike.  This sells for $219 at performancebike. com (http://www. performancebike. com/bikes/ Product_10052_ 10551_1030266_ -1_400005_ 400005_400005) . Here's their product description: A pro-quality, versatile workstand. The Spin Doctor Pro G3 Work Stand has a rock-solid tripod base with a 360° rotating clamp that makes it ideal for the home-shop or the trailhead.
    • Super-strong 6061-T6 aluminum construction with "air-cushion valve" and quick release clamps make raising and lowering your bike easier than ever
    • Bonus "small parts" bin on the clamp is perfect for housing ferrules, cable ends and all those little items that disappear off your workbench
    • Everything folds for storage and transport

    • SHIMANO ROAD BIKE/TRIATHLON RACING SHOES - asking $75
    • You're bidding on a pair of Shimano SH-TR02 ultralight carbon racing shoes.  These shoes are US size 10.5 (45 cm), and have fewer than 50 miles on them.  The single velcro strap on top makes for a quick fit in the transition area if you're into triathlons, but also ensures a snug fit for a more efficient and comfortable ride.  The ultralight and stiff carbon fiber composite bottoms ensure you're not wasting effort while pedaling, and the light and breathable mesh uppers help keep your feet cool in the heat of summer.  These shoes are top of the line, and weigh in at an extremely light 330 grams (11.6 oz.)  I originally bought these shoes in 2004 for my second bike, but just consistently wore my original pair of shoes.  These shoes are in terrific condition, almost like they were new in the box.  Included is a set of Look cleats that are compatible with many Look Pedals, if I recall, I originally had them for Look 357 pedals.

Bikes Aloft 2 bike rack - asking $50
Holds 2 bikes, one above the other. A little dusty from being in the garage, but in otherwise perfect condition.

All,
To my knowledge, this is the last rally of the season within a reasonable distance.  We've ridden it a couple of times in the last few years and have found it to be a pretty good ride.  The metric century turned to be about 70 miles the times we rode it.  The weather is forecast to be dry, with a low in the high forties and a high in the mid sixties.  The link to the home page is http://www.columbiacyclingclub.com/races-heavenly_hundred.asp
Hope to see you there.

Dropped off my '09 Synapse I bought back in March for its 2nd tune-up & to have
bar tape replaced Sat. It was ready yesterday, but couldn't pick it up until
today.
Even though it has about 2,700 miles on it they charged me ZERO labor for the
tune up and replacing the bar tape.
  Very cool.
Keep up the great work guys!

Happy trails.

If anyone is interested in joining me for a hilly ride Saturday, let me know. I plan on going 43 miles (takes between 2.5-3.0 hours depending on pace and duration of rest stops). For those who don't like hills as much as I do, there is a cutoff about 9 miles into the route that makes for a nice 17ish mile route option (still fairly hilly).

Depending on who is interested, we can ride in the morning or afternoon.

Let me know,

Greg

If anyone knows someone who would like to buy a 2009 Cannondale CAAD9.6, I have
one for sale. I bought it new last Sept or so from the bike shop in clarksville.
I am deployed and will be right back over here 15 months from
re-deploying....not going to have much bike riding time. It has barely been
ridden (maybe 75 miles) has shimano pedals and a tire pump mounted on it. It is
50CM. I am 5'7 and fits me well. Would take $1000 for it.

Thanks,

James

Not hard at all. I expect we’ll have two groups anyway and I’ll make sure you don’t get lost. We’ve had a slight change of plans…we’ll not be stopping for breakfast, so we’ll be back earlier.

There was supposed to be a message on there....I am wondering if there is anyone
who rides about 20-30 mile averaging 16-17.5 and is looking for a riding
partner? I ride with my husband sometimes but as he is training for ironman he
has a group he trains with and I often get left alone to ride...and would prefer
to ride with someone.
I typically try to ride tues thurs sat and or sun.
Tues group rides start too late for me right now though that may change.
I would appreciate any interest. I ride from the church at Sango and also
beachaven winery area.
