Former WWF Intercontinental Champion and multiple time European title
holder, Eddie Guerrero, recently performed in a match for New Japan
Pro Wrestling. This was the first time he had entered a New Japan Pro
Wrestling ring since he had wrestled for the WCW. During the match in
which he wrestled, he teamed up with Minoru Tanaka and Black Tiger to
take on Koji Kanemoto, Jado, and Gedo. The match ended in a no
contest. On a quick note regarding Black Tiger: When Eddie had
previously wrestled in NJPW, he wrestled under a mask as the Black
Tiger. At this show 'Silver King' was the Black Tiger.
-- Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who at one time was a large superstar in
the WWF, has recently been the cause of some controversy in the UK.
For years, he has been using large snakes to taunt and frighten
opponents, but only recently has any sort of animal rights violation
cropped up. During each match, Jake would bring a snake to the ring.
His chosen snake would reside within a bag that is left by the ring
apron.
-- At a recent UK event, Roberts supposedly hit an opponent with the
bag whilst a snake was inside it. This has caused nothing but
headaches for a certain UK promoter, as Animal Rights Activists are
putting him under investigation. A full article concerning how a
possible animal rights violation could cost a promoter his license
was published in The Northampton Chronicle.
-- SmackDown! was preempted in many more markets than usual this past
Thursday, and that is the main reason why the ratings suffered a huge
dip this week. The program was only available in about 78 percent of
the markets that are currently in the U.S., compared to the previous
numbers of around 85-86 percent of the markets. Since the show was
available in about 7 percent fewer homes than in the past month or
so, that would account for the huge piece of the ratings drop.
-- Kid Rock remade the song "Leg's" by ZZ Top for the upcoming WWF
CD, and as Stacy Keibler's new entrance theme. The WWF had first
contacted ZZ about it being done a few months back. The WWF at first
wanted the song to be remade by the band "Puddle of Mudd", but they
had not been approached at all before the settlement was made with
Kid Rock.
-- On a comedic note, Jerry Lawler was featured on the
show "Insomniac" on Comedy Central recently. Dave Atell, the host of
the show, travels week to week around to different cities, and on
this episode he was in Memphis. On this particular show he went into
different bars throughout the city, and he went into a club in
Memphis and speaked with Jerry "The King" Lawler. Towards the end we
saw Jerry refereeing a "Naked Jell-o Wrestling Match".
While I don't love the guy, you must admit that the WWF has made
really crummy use of this former ECW champion. I can remember when
the Radicalz first jumped ship to the WWF it was because they were
searching for the new opportunities. Look what happened, Benoit made
it to the main event only to be depushed shortly, Guerrero was also
depushed after having successful reigns with the European and IC
belts and a well-done angle with Chyna, Malenko won the Lightheavy
Weight belt and then all but disapeared from television, and Saturn
has received a few mini pushes without any real effort or support
from the WWF. Then ECW main event stars arrive to similar treatment.
Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible, and Jerry Lynn all got ignored.
Tajiri and Rhyno got pushes, but Tajiri's push ended for no apparent
reason other then the WWF just felt like it. Then there's RVD who
should have stayed in the main event after reaching it last October.
Blah.
Yeah, Tommy Dreamer should have had at least one singles match on TV.
Though I missed a lot of programming, all I saw him do was
participate in a few six man matches and get into a fight with Al
Snow on Heat.
RINGS
Your list had its highlights but I'm afriad that my list is better
(and it won't have Tommy Dreamer on it so HA!).
1) Chris Benoit
2) Triple H
3) Chris Jericho
4) Bret Hart
5) Perry Saturn
6) Lance Storm
7) Shawn Micheals
8) Undertaker
9) Rob Van Dam
10)Crash Holly
I think leaving out Tommy Dreamer automatically made my list
superior. Any thoughts?
RINGS
Yes, this is Bill Jukes the pirate signing in. I'm going to go
through my top ten favorite wrestlers of all time!
1) Terry Funk!
2) Cactus Jack
3) Raven
4) Tommy Dreamer
5) Rob Van Dam
6) Chris Benoit
7) Perry Saturn
8) Crash Holly
9) Christian
10)Stevie Richards
What can I say, as a hardcore specialist, I tend to enjoy the work of
hardcore wrestlers. I hope to make it to the WWF one day (not because
it has been a life-long dream or anything) to finally get in the ring
with the Crippler and with my old friend, Perry Saturn. I'd be more
likely to wrestle Saturn at this point considering that he's never on
TV but I'd be afriad he'd be overly stiff with his offensive. Then
I'd also have to go around telling people that I jobbed for Saturn,
look what that did to the careers of Steve Blackman, Raven, Chavo
Guerrero Jr, and Shawn Stasiak!

The following are re-written news highlights from this week's Ross
Report:
-- Lance Storm has currently been performing despite a mildly bruised
elbow injury. Storm isn't expected to miss any time in the future as
a result of the minor injury.
-- Scotty Too Hotty will have his neck re-examined next week when the
WWF travels through San Antonio. Scotty has yet to have any new
damage done to the long-time neck injury he has been working through.
Scotty Too Hotty may have to take a little bit of time off after his
examination.
-- Crash Holly is ready to return to a normal WWF schedule after
getting his bell rung a couple of weeks ago.
-- Mike Awesome is expected to be back in action in approximately
four months after being sidelined for quite sometime now with knee
surgery.
-- Bob "Hardcore" Holly who was last seen on the casting special for
Tough Enough 2, is now ready to get back in the ring after a long
absence with arm surgery.
-- Chris Kanyon looks as if he will be released from doctor's care in
about three weeks from ACL surgery.
-- Steve Blackman is dealing with severe headaches as a result of a
neck condition. His situation is still being evaluated.
-- Plans to seperate the WWF roster into exclusive RAW and SmackDown!
divisions are finally beginning to take shape. This will give a lot
of the developmental guys, guys acquired from WCW, and former WWF
stars who were sent to HWA or OVW a chance to return to television
and prove they got back in gear while training in their respective
developmental camps.
-- "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and a personal writer of his are currently
working on a book project. An autobiography from one of the most
recognized wrestlers in of all-time will be released later this year.
-- Jerry "The King" Lawler is also working on an autobiography
project as well. His will be released after Hogan's is on shelfs
which should be the later part of this year, or the early part of
next year. Lawler will likely do the illustrations and artwork for
his book himself as he is a crafty artist.
-- Tonight (Friday) will be "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's first WWF match
in about 10 years as he steps in the ring against Rikishi at the Sun
Dome in Tampa, FL. for a WWF house show (non-televised event) tonight.
-- Jim Ross heavily hints at a return from Shawn Michaels upon the
splitting of the WWF roster. Ross noted that he hopes to see HBK
during his stop in San Antonio, Texas for a possible return in a
physical, or non-physical way to the WWF roster when the WWF splits
their rosters in April.
-- Despite the addition of the men with the bad reputation (nWo) the
WWF locker room has not changed a bit and still deals with the
everyday normal issues. No additional serious issues have come about
from the return of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall to the WWF.
Full credit goes to Chris Sabga for the following report:
The arena was nearly full. None of the matches were classics, but
they were solid. Everyone worked hard.
Special Referee Gerald Brisco
Bubba The Love Sponge vs. Texas Hangman
Bubba The Love Sponge is a famous Tampa radio host who was arrested
last year for slaughtering a pig on the air. In a sickening move, he
wore a pig mask to the ring in an attempt to get cheap heat. Of
course, what else can we expect from the same guy who released a
wrestling CD that features a decidedly unfunny audio "spoof" of Owen
Hart's fatal fall? For some reason, the boozed out Tampa rednecks
cheered Bubba anyway and treated him like the second coming. In a
rematch from the 2000 Survivor Series (which was shown only to the
live arena crowd), Bubba beat Hangman.
Mr. Perfect and Big Boss Man vs. Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert
Jacquelyn was announced as the referee. Hotty and the Hip Hop Hippo
got a very loud reception from the crowd. The fans were more
apathetic towards Perfect and Bossman - a strange pairing to say the
least. After Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert scored the victory, Hotty got
his pants pulled down by Albert. As they were about to leave the
ring, Jacquelyn stopped them and indicated that she wanted to dance.
The duo happily obliged and busted a move with Jackie much to the
crowd's delight.
Booker T vs. Rob Van Dam
The fans were really into RVD, chanting his name for most of the
match. Booker also garnered generous heel heat and "Booker sucks!"
chants from the audience. Unfortunately, what could've and should've
been the match of the night ended up being a disappointment because
of its all too short length. Booker T got the win after interference
from Test.
Light Heavyweight Championship Match
X-Pac vs. Spike Dudley
The fans seemed surprised to see X-Pac (and the Light-Heavyweight
Title) back in the WWF after such a long absence. Not the longest
match, but well done. There were some nice outside bumps, including
Spike being thrown into the ring steps. Spike eventually attempted a
Dudley Dog, but missed. X-Pac took him down with the X-Factor shortly
thereafter to retain the gold.
Women's Championship Match
Jazz vs. Trish Stratus
This one didn't last long, but both girls had their working shoes on.
When it was all said and done, Jazz retained the Women's Title.
Triple H vs. Kurt Angle
Perhaps the best match of the night. Triple H was wildly over as a
face. Ditto for Angle as a heel. "The Game" and Angle treated the
fans to an intense back-and-forth slugfest. Angle teased leaving the
ring and getting himself counted out, but he ran back in right before
the 10. Hunter surprised everyone by using the Ankle Lock (one of
Angle's signature moves) against Kurt, but our Olympic Hero ended up
getting out of it and applying an Ankle Lock of his own. Neither man
tapped out to the move. Hunter eventually got the 1-2-3 after a
Pedigree.
Lance Storm and Christian vs. APA
This match occurred right after a 15-minute intermission. The
audience was noticeably dead, obviously hungry to see the "big
stars." It probably would've been a hotter contest if the WWF had
positioned it earlier in the show. Despite the comatose crowd, the
wrestlers worked hard. APA won after Bradshaw blasted Lance with a
Clothesline from Hell. Christian threw one of his hilarious signature
temper tantrums after the match.
Val Venis vs. Test
Earlier in the evening, Test cost RVD a match against Booker T, so
naturally "The Whole Dam Show" returned the favor by jumping into the
ring and stunning Test with a spin kick and a Five Star Frog Splash.
Venis then successfully landed the Money Shot to grab the upset.
Hollywood Hogan vs. Rikishi
In order for the aging Hulkster to look good, his opponents have to
sell convincingly for his moves. Rikishi did exactly that by bumping
quickly every time Hogan threw a punch. Usually Rikishi is portrayed
as the "more powerful" of the two men in the ring, but it was Hogan
who looked like the powerhouse here. In the end Rikishi missed a
bonzai drop, which allowed Hollywood to hit a legdrop for the win.
After the match, Rikishi was able to get his heat back by giving
Hogan the Stinkface. There have been many doubts about the nWo, but
Hulk did what was right for business here. A fun match.
Main Event
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall
Hall wore his new "Kliq" tights to the ring and was accompanied by
fellow nWo member Kevin Nash. The Bad Guy" is still shaking off the
ring rust, but he carried himself very credibly against Austin. Those
hoping for a repeat of Kronik or Buff Bagwell left the USF Sun Dome
disappointed. Indeed, Austin and Hall treated the Tampa fans to an
entertaining melee. Nash enhanced the match with his ringside antics.
He interfered on Hall's behalf several times and spent a couple of
minutes removing the top turnbuckle pad to leave the metal exposed.
Austin eventually got whipped face-first into the exposed buckle, but
Hall only got a near fall even though he used the ropes for leverage.
The match ended when Austin hit both Nash and Hall with Stone Cold
Stunners and covered Hall for the three-count.
At the end of the show, Austin and referee Tim White drank beers
together.
Most Popular: Austin, RVD, Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert.
Most Hated: Hollywood Hogan, Kurt Angle, Booker T
Former WWF superstar Jerry Lynn will be appearing for CZW on 3/9 at
Viking Hall in Philadelphia. Lynn is also accepting indy bookings
from anyone and everyone right now.
-- Yesterday, it was reported that the APA vs. Chuck & Billy match
for Wrestlemania 18 had been called off because it took place early
on SmackDown! this past Thursday. Well, it now appears as if the
match will be a fatal four way for the Tag Team Titles with The APA,
Chuck & Billy, The Hardy Boyz, and the Dudley Boyz.
-- TNN is apparently going to air a 1 hour Wrestlemania special on
March 12th, at 9pm. The show will be titled "WWF Flashback: The Best
of WrestleMania," and will recap past Wrestlemania's.
At the No Way Out pay-per view, the nWo were asked to arrive at the
building at 11:00am to discuss their roles in PPVs. For some reason,
the writing team didn't arrive until nearly 12:30pm. Hulk Hogan,
Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall felt it would be a gut-check to test them
out in so many words. So the following day on RAW, the three showed
up at 2:00pm when they were asked to arrive at 11:00am. This upset
and angered a lot of wrestlers as no real punishment was served to
the guys, when controversy has stirred over guys like Jeff Hardy for
arriving a few hours late here and there.
-- As I have previously reported, this year's WrestleMania will be
heavily promoted around the return of Hulk Hogan to a WWF ring for
the first time since 1993, as have probably noticed by now. The plan
was for Rock to have time off all the way until WrestleMania for "The
Scorpion King" re-shoots and voice-overs much like he did for No Way
Out missing all television and showing up at the pay-per view itself.
It appears as though now the plan is to bring The Rock back ahead of
schedule for another week of promotion against the nWo for more
WrestleMania 18 build-up.
-- Last night on WWF Excess, Ivory (stand-in co host) and Jonathan
Coachman announced one member of the New World Order, whether it be
Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, or Scott Hall, will in-fact have an actual
match on this coming Monday's RAW. It is expected that it will be
Kevin Nash due to long-term plans showing him matchless going into
WrestleMania. The WWF thinks this will be a good way to drive ratings
as it will be the first televised match by either Hulk Hogan, Kevin
Nash, or Scott Hall, whomever they may choose, in 5-10 years.
Apparently the Rock is recruiting the services of someone to help out
during the big match vs. Hogan at WrestleMania. One strongly rumored
name that is thought to be recruited is the Ultimate Warrior, who in
fact has a WrestleMania victory over Hulk Hogan at the same venue of
this year's show, the Skydome. Other possibilities of being recruits
of the Rock are Goldberg, or possibly even Eric Bischoff. Although
only confirmed to some extent, please realise that the aforememtioned
are only rumors and have not been fully confirmed.
-- To add to the possibility of Warrior, Goldberg, or Bischoff
returning to the WWF at Wrestlemania; on a recent DirecTV guide there
was a featured ad of WrestleMania. At the top in big letters was
written, "GUESS WHO'S BACK! - Find Out March 17th On DirecTV". Under
that in the center is the WrestleMania logo and promo, but with
nWo 'spraypainted' overtop of it. Take that for what it is worth.
-- Although its been hinted otherwise, the WWF is hinting at a Chris
Benoit return at WrestleMania according to Blackjack Brown. Benoit is
in no-way ready for an in-ring return as of right now and even for
the next month or two possibly, but he may be playing a major role in
one of the matches at WrestleMania.
-- Jazz vs. Lita for the women's championship is very highly being
rumored to take place at WrestleMania. There are also talks of
throwing Trish in the mix and making it a triple-threat match between
the three for the women's title.
-- Don't expect to see Scott Steiner back in the WWF ring any time
soon. His physical was finally acquired by the WWF and things werent
looking the greatest, or the worst either. Steiner still had some
medical issues to be taken care of and it was said that if he and the
WWF could come to terms regarding his injuries and health problems,
then the WWF would highly consider bringing him in. Steiner was
noticeably limping during his un-scripted match against Disco Inferno
at the WWA PPV last Sunday, and it was obviously due to his foot not
being in good health.
Well, we're a few weeks away from the biggest PPV of the year. The
card is shaping up fairly well, if it were any other PPV I'd be
worried though. Since its Wrestlemania, I'm hoping there will be
extra effort, cuz lets face it: No Way Out was too relaxed.
Y2J vs HHH will be wonderful!! These two have always had great
matches against eachover and now they have a chance to wrestle in the
main spot in the biggest PPV of the year. HHH will probably win,
similar to how Austin won last year after coming back from a serious
injury. The only thing that could ruin this main event is non-stop
interference from McMahons (Vince has interfered in the main event
three years in a row now, why not make it four?) and Stephanie will
be in Jericho's corner so that's a given. The only other thing that
could ruin this match would be if Stephanie were to turn on Jericho
and reteam with HHH. This would be a poor choice and time for HHH to
turn heel and it would be waaay too close to Austin turning bad last
year.
The Rock vs Hulk Hogan. <groan> This match looks as if its going to
suck, but I have a feeling that we're all going to be surprised. The
interest in the match is there (though it should probably be Austin
vs Hogan). The thing is that Hogan and Rock both have a very limited
arsenal of moves yet they manage to do good jobs when they have a
good opponent to carry them (there's a reason why Rock's best matches
were with Jericho and Benoit). I am worried about this match, but it
will definitly sell... but may end up becoming an embarassment.
Scott Hall vs Stone Cold Steve Austin: I think this match is going to
be great, assuming Scott Hall doesn't get fired beforehand.
Kevin Nash: it will be interesting to see if he's even included. Out
of all the nWo members, Nash has been the most overlooked.
Kane vs Kurt Angle: This match will definitly be the sleeper of the
night. Kane and Angle have always had great matches too, and the
Wrestlemania setting will only encourage them to do their best. This
is also a good spot for Kane to be in, he's been in need of a good
push.
Billy and Chuck vs APA: I'd expect the same old, same old from these
teams. The feud leading to the PPV should be worth it though :)
Booker T vs Edge: This one is going to be great!!! Edge and Booker T
are both underrated! Hopefully a successful match here will boost
careers for both men the way Angle vs Jericho vs Benoit did back in
2000.
William Regal vs RVD: I don't see this match becoming a classic,
Regal is hard to work with (though he is quite talented). Honestly,
the only good matches I've seen Regal have were his ones with Crash
Holly, Al Snow, and Perry Saturn back when he first joined the
federation. His Jericho and Edge feuds have suffered. However, RVD
will probably win here and get that monster push he deserves.
So far this looks to be a good Wrestlemania. Jericho vs HHH will
become a classic and I honestly think Hogan vs Rock will surprise
cynics everywhere!
RINGS
Although no incidents took place after the Scott Hall story in Los
Angeles, many claim a huge spotlight is flashing down on the nWo
watching their every move. Many wrestlers are weary about the nWo's
past reputation, and so open about their concern, that the nWo has to
be extra careful not to slip-up as the WWF has made it clear they
won't tolerate behavior as performed in the early 90s during
the "Clique" reign in the WWF, and of course the ever-so-popular
build up and demise of WCW at the hands of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.
-- A key WWF source claims it's almost a given that Eric Bischoff
will eventually be brought into the WWF fold to work as part of the
nWo storyline down the road once the stable develops a bit more on
WWF television. This is mainly drawn from the WWF side, as no word is
in if Eric Bischoff would even accept such a role, although if the
pay and circumstances are right - he would most likely do so.
-- On a small appearance note, Steve "Sting" Borden appeared as a
guest speaker at the "Aqcuire the Fire" Christian youth rally in
Sacremento, California last weekend. As far as Sting's wrestling
career is concerned, as reported many times, he is considering
himself retired and would take a lot of money and a low amount of
dates to return for even a part-time schedule. Nothing has changed on
that status as of this point and many believe we've seen the last of
Sting in a wrestling ring.
Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter
-- Mick Foley was spotted at an AHL minor league hockey game last
weekend. Mike Foley was spotted attending the Hershey Bears (AHL
minor league hockey) game on Feb. 23 in Hershey, Pa. He was wearing
his trademark red and black flannel with black sweatpants. Two
security guards stood directly behind him to keep fans at bay. I did
see Mick stop to sign autographs whenever he was up walking around. A
lot of people at the game seemed to recognize him. A friend saw him
in the locker room after the game and said there were some 40 fans
outside at the rear exit waiting for Mick to come out.
-- Many have stated that various music sites are mentioning that
Drowning Pool will be on hand to play live at WrestleMania. Nothing
is official as of yet. However, with Drowning Pool being used as the
WrestleMania theme song and the fact the band has a gap in its tour
on the PPV weekend it is very likely.
-- nWo member, Scott Hall is scheduled to be the special guest on the
WWF website's "Byte This" at 4 p.m. (EST) today.
Currently there are no plans to have Shawn Michaels return in any
fashion to be a part of the nWo stable. A lot of rumors insisted HBK
would take part in the squad due to his behind-the-scenes friendship
with the trio, his coincidental appearances on WWF Excess and WWF
AXXESS, and his desire to get back into the ring for another short
run. Although Shawn Michaels will be on the road with the WWF soon to
be a part of the fan-festival called WWF AXXESS which is a pre-
WrestleMania type fan fare, he is highly expected to remain off WWF
television with the slight exception of a possible cameo during
highlights of WWF AXXESS.
-- When the WWF splits the roster into two divisions which is
expected to take place sometime in late March or early April, there
will not be a Heavyweight champion for each division. Rather, the
Undisputed champion will be the one wrestler who appears on both
divisions television shows (one will be RAW, the other SmackDown!)
and defend the title against both rosters.
-- A hush came across the backstage area recently when Hulk Hogan was
greeting wrestlers during his first visit to the locker room in Los
Angeles a few weeks ago. Apparently Hogan was commenting wrestlers
and coming off as a babyface backstage when he approached the
Godfather and told him he enjoyed his work, but called him "Papa
Shango" which is an old character the Godfather played during Hogan's
last stay with the company.
I watched the casting special last night. It was hilarious!!! I loved
the part when Tazz showed up and got into that guy's face (the one
who trash talked him in his application video). Another guy doctored
a picture to make himself look twice as muscular as he was and Ivory
took great delight in making contestants jump into a pool. Hardcore
Holly and Chavo Guerrero Jr. are great additions to the show and it
looks as if Tazz will play the same role this time around as he did
last time. Of course last time Tazz was advertised to be a main coach
but just showed up when convenient. I'm glad Al Snow is back and I
think Ivory will be more hands on then Tori was. Great show overall,
I can't wait for next week.
RINGS
-- Last night the WWF stopped in Buffalo, NY for their usual Saturday
house show. The main event of the show, which was much-advertised on
the internet, was set as Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall. This
match is Scott Hall's first match, both on and off-air, since
returning to the WWF.
-- At the beginning of the main event, Hall walked down to the ring
wearing his classic WCW ring attire - red and black vest with red and
black trunks. However, the interesting fact about this is that on the
back of his trunks, where it would normally be written in red "Hall"
or "Wolfpac", it was instead written "Kliq".
-- For those who are not familiar with the term "Kliq", the Kliq was
a backstage group of WWF wrestlers in the mid to late nineties,
consisting of Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Triple H and X-
Pac. The Kliq reportedly had much backstage power during the time
that they existed. The Kliq split up when Hall and Nash jumped to WCW.
-- It is essentially confirmed that Scott Hall will not be in an
active wrestling match until Wrestlemania X-8, where he will face
Steve Austin. Due to this fact, we can be sure that worldwide
audiences will not be able to see the Kliq trunks or any other
hintings toward the Kliq, at least not until Wrestlemania.
-- The Kliq hintings at the house show seem to point to either a
reformation of the Kliq, or else a sort of reincarnation of the Kliq
in the new nWo. If this is true, then it would mean that X-Pac and
Shawn Michaels have a high likelihood of becoming part of the nWo
sometime before Wrestlemania. However, Triple H is doubtful to join
the nWo due to his current babyface status and feud with Chris
Jericho.
-- Scott Hall was said to be embarassed by his behavior at the bar in
the hotel during his stop in Los Angeles before the WWF SmackDown!
tapings two weeks ago. Scott Hall was later extremely apologetic for
his actions after being carried away for getting too drunk and
causing too much trouble. As reported in the recap of the Scott Hall
interview from WWF.com, Hall is back on medication that could cause
death if triggered by alcohol. Hall is seemingly putting forth his
best effort to change, and so far it's having an effect on management
who chose to go through with the Scott Hall vs. Steve Austin match as
one of the top matches for WrestleMania 18 which is on March 17th.
Many predict Scott Hall will not last until then, but that remains to
be seen.
-- The nWo members appeared backstage at the No Way Out pay-per view
without any incidents unlike the SmackDown! tapings the week before.
Of course the big frenzy over Scott Hall's actions in Los Angeles was
he told Bubba Ray Dudley he would kick out of his finisher, which
actually got a lot of laughs from the boys as Bubba Ray isn't one of
the more popular wrestlers backstage in the WWF.
-- Two of the off-duty policemen who were involved in the Steve
Austin/Kurt Angle segment on RAW following the No Way Out pay-per
view were both local independant wrestlers. One was Brad Bradley,
while the other one goes under the monicker Eric "The Underwear
Model" Priest.
With recent WWF occurences, it seems as if the WWF may be becoming
more lenient with allowing superstars to use the piledriver move.
SmackDown! a few weeks ago, before No Way Out, saw the Undertaker
perform his old finisher the Tombstone Piledriver on The Rock. Then
last night at the house show in Manchester, Kane defeated Test by
once again using the Tombstone Piledriver, which is considered to be
the most dangerous form of piledriver due to a mistake being
extremely easy to seriously injure someone. Piledrivers were banned
by the WWF last year because of the danger presented in using a move
which can so easily break a wrestler's neck.
-- The WWF has now booked all the Tough Enough 1 finalists to appear
at WWF Fan Axxess on the weekend before Wrestlemania X-8. This means
that Maven, Nidia, Josh, Taylor and Chris will all be live at Axxess.
Former Alliance wrestlers have also been booked for the event. Those
wrestlers have been off WWF television ever since the Alliance angle
ended last year. Several WWF developmental talents, such as David
Flair and R.C. Haas, are also expected to compete.
-- Only four days before Wrestlemania X-8, Triple H will be appearing
on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien, which airs on NBC at
12:35am/11:35pm. With the timeframe so close to Wrestlemania, Triple
H is sure to talk about his match for the Undisputed Championship
against Chris Jericho, among other things.
-- News has broken through that former WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion
Jerry Lynn was released by the WWF two days ago. This comes as
somewhat of a surprise, since the WWF previously had reasonably high
hopes for the former ECW superstar. However, it has been a
possibility for quite some time now that Lynn would be released, and
was even visible on TV due to Lynn only being utilised on "training
ground" shows such as Heat and Metal.
In an interesting note, Ross seems to refer to the Roster Split as
the "Distribution of Talent".
Injury Updates
-- Crash Holly will be off TV this week due to an injured neck.
-- R.C. Haas (formerly Charlie Haas) will have ACL surgery on his
injured knee. He is expected to miss roughly four months of in-ring
action.
Other Stuff
-- The tryout camps in Cincinnati went well. Each prospect are
evaluated on their verbal and in-ring abilities, with some of the
more talented prospects being made offers.
-- Several other UK events have been added to the WWF schedule in
addition to InsurreXtion on May 4th. On the 2nd of May the WWF will
be in Glasgow, in Birmingham on the 3rd and then London on the 4th.
-- Steve Bradley is doing well in HWA and could have a chance of
making it into the big leagues in the future.
-- The Island Boys are a tag-team with great potential, but need to
make positive changes to their weight and conditioning.
-- Leviathan and Shelton Benjamin came off the back of their dark
matches last week positively. They could be very successful if they
become more comfortable in the ring.
-- Former WCW tag-team, Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak are progressing
well and have amazing "physical gifts".
-- Bull Buchanan has improved a great deal down in OVW, and will be a
part of the roster split.
-- David Flair has also improved his in-ring skills since arriving in
OVW.
-- Ross says that his guess is that developmental talent Prototype
will be on Raw and Smackdown! before the end of the year, should he
avoid serious injury and continue down the path he is on currently.
-- Victoria is coming very close to a call-up.
-- Ross says that he would have no concearns about putting OVW talent
Rob Conway, Nick Dinsmore or The Machine on a WWF televised broadcast.
-- Justin Credible, Raven, Hugh Morrus, Tommy Dreamer and Steven
Richards (amongst others) have done great in Cincinnati.
-- X-Pac (WWF Light Heavyweight Champ, still) will return to WWF
house shows on March 1st in Tampa, Florida.
-- Shannon Moore is a spectacular high-flyer, who has been
concentrating on improving his mic skills down in HWA of late.
-- On the flip side to Shannon Moore, Mike Sanders has amazing mic
skills, but needs to tune up his in-ring skills. However, it is being
reported that he has been working very hard on this aspect of his
talent recently.
-- Ross says that Johnny the Bull is a very hard working and
passionate talent, who has the right look to be a superstar is he can
improve his ring psychology.
-- WWF Tough Enough 1 Female Champ Nidia, is improving her
conditioning and could be ready for WWF television once her training
is complete.
-- D'Lo and Mark Henry will be involved in the Roster Split.
-- Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton are going to be huge superstars in
the future. As I previously reported, they could well end up in a
dark match at WrestleMania.
-- And finally, Ross says he feels Ron `H20' Waterman is a great
athlete, but needs to learn to "connect emotionally" with the
audience.
-- Thanks to Josh Jabcuga and Jill Wilkening for the following:
Arena was barely two-thirds full...all upper decks were empty, some
lower decks in the corners were empty too.
1. Edge def. Lance Storm
2. Mr. Perfect def. RVD
3. Billy and Chuck def. Albert and Scotty. Billy and Chuck have lots
of fun with their characters and really playing it up, with the fans
enjoying it. Scotty and Albert had a small verbal altercation with
two fans in the back).
4. Rikishi def. Booker T
5. DDP def. Christian
6. HHH def. Angle (Some decent suplexes by Angle. HHH poses in and
out of ring for five minutes post victory.)
7. Ric Flair comes out and thanks the crowd. Mr. Perfect comes out in
street clothes and mocks Flair. Flair punches him, and RVD comes out
with the five star frog spash and the three count by Flair.
8. Hardys/Lita def. Dudleys/Jazz with Stacy. Hardys doing TV quality
spots, Bubba mocks the crowd at the beginning. Whatever happened to
his southern drawl/Brooklyn accent - it's completely gone tonight.
9. Test def.Kane
10. Steve Austin def. Scott Hall with Kevin Nash. Hall has "KLIQ" on
the back of his trunks. A decent match, the wrestlers could be heard
calling spots during the match. After a ref bump, Nash runs in.
Austin wipes both out, gives both stunners, drinks beer, poses and
drinks more beer for about five minutes while Hall and Nash lay in
the ring. Austin returns back to the ring, hands Hall a beer while
Hall is staggering, and gives him another stunner.
Biggest Pops/Heat:
1. Angle
2. RVD/HHH
3. Austin
Six Man Cruiserweight Survival Elimination Match
Nova vs. Lo Ki vs. Sharkboy vs. A.J. Styles vs. Tony Mamaluke vs.
Christopher Daniels
A.J. Styles and Tony Mamaluke started it off and the two locked it up
and there are six men in this match and there will be one winner.
The commentators heard rumors that Sharkboy bites people on the ass,
and guess what? He bit Tony Mamaluke right on the ass! Lo Ki showed
some WWF-like potential from where I sit. Tony Mamaluke and Sharkboy
battled through the crowd, which got a decent reaction from the small
crowd that was there. Sharkboy was eliminated by Lo Ki after a
vicious kick to the head. Tony Mamaluke gave Christopher Daniels a
nasty back suplex from the top rope. Some nice bumps in this match.
A.J. Styles gave Tony Mamaluke the "Styles Clash" to eliminate him.
To describe the Styles Clash, A.J. got Tony in somewhat of a
piledriver position and then he jumped forward onto him. The crowd
isn't as small as I thought it was. (I think some people came in
late.) Lo Ki went for a hurricanrana on Nova on the top rope, but
Christopher Daniels hopped up and pulled Lo Ki down with a Rock
Bottom to eliminate him. Now that was good. Christopher Daniels also
showed some WWFish potential. A.J. Styles eliminated Christopher
Daniels with the Styles Clash from the top rope.
A.J. Styles and Nova fought it out until Nova gave A.J. Styles a
vicious suplex from the top rope to pick up the win.
Winner - Nova
Bret Hart came out to the ring and the fans showed their support as
he's the WWA Commissioner. Bret got on the mic and said there was a
time that he didn't think he'd set foot in a wrestling ring again and
in America, and it's a great feeling to be there. Early in
this 'interview,' the fans said "What?" after things that Bret said.
Bret ran down some of the events of tonight and he hopes that the
fans will give these guys a little support. The WWA is a small
wrestling organization, but there's not many left and he hopes that
this is the first show of many in the United States and around the
world.
Randy Savage isn't going to be here tonight, so Bret has to select
the right guy for the main event. Bret has always been partial to
second generation wrestlers and Jeff Jarrett is one, so he's decided
that Brian Christopher, Jerry Lawler's son and because he's been on
the tour, he's paid his dues and he'll be in the main event working
for the WWA World Championship.
Bret talked about America and he likes to think of himself as a North
American, even though fans may look at him as an Anti-American. He
talked about the Trade Center attacks and it was a tough time for the
entire world.
Bret congratulated the Canadian Hockey Team and the fans booed him as
he continued on and the fans bursted out chanting "USA, USA!" Bret
said bigger things are in store and he hopes that Canada, Australia
and the rest of the world will help the United States kick Osama Bin
Laden's ass!
Bret thanked the fans for having him and he hopes that everyone
enjoys the rest of the show.
The Funkster (Alan Funk) and a couple of midgets were shown and the
Funkster (parody of Hogan) cut a promo on the midget about tonight's
Hardcore match. After the Funkster left, one of the midgets tossed a
trash can lid at the other midget and the two ran off.
Reno vs. The Funkster (Alan Funk)
Reno made his way out to the ring for a singles match against the
Funkster. (Alan Funk)
Alan continued his Hogan routine and Funk started it off by
controlling the match with a series of clotheslines.
As Reno wore Alan Funk down, The Funkster "Funked up" and got back
into the match, much like Hulk Hogan has done over the years. Pretty
funny stuff there. Reno gave the Funkster the Roll of the Dice and
then he went to the second rope and came off, but the Funkster gave
Reno a big boot and then he Funked up once again.
The Funkster Funked up and gave Reno the big boot and then he hooked
him in a piledriver and got it on, but that wasn't enough. The
Funkster then gave Reno the leg drop and then he pinned him for a
three count to get the win.
Winner - The Funkster
A limo arrived and a bunch of Scott Steiner's freaks got out of the
limo and he got out of the limo as well and then they went on their
way.
The Disco Inferno was in the arena and he complained about losing his
match to Brian Christopher. He said he should be in the Championship
match and since he has no match, he issued an open challenge and he's
going to sit here and do announcing until someone comes out to
wrestle him.
Native Blood vs. Kronik
Native Blood made their way out for a tag team match against Kronik.
Native Blood were put over as kind of an unknown tag team.
Native Blood had a Tatanka-like ring attire and they attacked Kronik
in the early goings to start it off quickly in the ring.
Bryan Clark did an impressive flip off the apron onto Native Blood.
Kronik picked up the win with the "high times" on the smaller guy in
Native Blood. (Didn't catch his name as they were put over as
jobbers. They did say their names at the beginning of the match, but
I didn't write them down.)
Winners - Kronik
Terry Taylor attempted to interview one of the midgets and
he's "Puppet the Psycho Dwarf." He cut a promo, saying that he's
going to destroy every midget that walks in America and he will be
the true star of America.
WWA Erruption - April 14th from Melbourne, Australia. The show will
be taped on the 13th in Australia and will air the 14th in the
States.
Hardcore Midgets Match
Puppet the Psycho Dwarf vs. Tio
Puppet the Psycho Dwarf and another midget named Tio battled out into
the arena in a "Hardcore Midget Match."
Tio put a trash can on Dwarf's head and then he hit it with a steel
chair. Tio went to the top rope and he jumped off onto the Psycho
Dwarf who was in the trash can. Tio then pinned Puppet, but he only
got a two count. Puppet got Tio in a modified Boston Crab and Mark
Madden made a funny: IT'S A MIDGET TAMER!
Puppet got out a bag of thumb tacks and he gave Tio a TKO onto them
and then he pinned him for a three count to pick up the win.
Winner - Puppet the Psycho Dwarf
Scott Steiner's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the
arena with his FREAKS and he bullied around the midgets. Steiner
pressed one of them over the top and Madden made another funny: Scott
Steiner has just won Olympic Gold in the Midget Toss! Classic stuff
from Madden.
Big Poppa Pump got on the mic and talked about his freaks and then he
trashed Bret Hart, because he didn't consider Steiner worthy enough
to wrestle for the World Title. Scott said that whether he's
officially in a match or not, he's going to kick somebody's ass!
Scott Steiner got out of the ring and went over to the commentator's
table and started in with Disco Inferno. Steiner got Disco Inferno in
the ring and hammered away on him and Disco Inferno fought back, only
to get taken out with an over the head belly to belly. Steiner gave
Disco Inferno another belly to belly and then he brought him to the
top rope and gave him a belly to belly from the top. Scott Steiner
then put the Disco Inferno in the Steiner Recliner to finish him off.
By the way, this was not an official match as there was no referee.
International Cruiserweight Championship Match
Triple Threat Match
Juventud Guerrera vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Psicosis (c)
Eddie and Juventud exchanged words and Psicosis also got in there and
the match officially started off with a triple lock up in the center
of the ring. Eddie then kicked Juventud and then the three exchanged
chops.
Fast paced Cruiserweight action. Eddie gave Psicosis a brainbuster
followed by a pin, but Juventud broke it up with a leg drop from the
top rope. Now here's a funny one...Eddie and Juventud argued and
Eddie raked Juventud's eyes and Juvy went down!
Psicosis went for a hurricanrana on Eddie Guerrero from the top rope
but Eddie blocked it and then he came off the top rope with the frog
splash and then a pin for a three count to get the win and win the
Cruiserweight title!
Winner and new International Cruiserweight Champion, Eddie Guerrero
After the match, Eddie Guerrero got on the mic and the fans got under
Eddie's skin with the "What?" and Eddie called the fans morons. Eddie
talked about his personal issues. Basically his life has been pretty
much a mess, but as of tonight, he doesn't care where, in front of
who or what, he starts making his statement back into this business!
Jerry Lynn showed up and cut Eddie Guerrero off! Jerry made fun of
the hard times with Eddie Guerrero and he said he got so choked up in
the back, NOT! Eddie told Jerry that this has nothing to do with him,
he's just sending out a message. Jerry looked at the big picture:
What is he, a third or fourth generation wrestler? He had a long run
in Mexico, New Japan, ECW, WCW and the WWF. Jerry would bet any money
that he got all those opportunities just on the Guerrero family name
alone! These people didn't come here to listen to Eddie's problems.
They came here to forget about theirs and be entertained for a few
hours, so quit the bitching!
Eddie laid Jerry out and got in his face and talked trash. Eddie told
Jerry that if he wants a piece of him to get in line because he's not
through with the wrestling world and Jerry. Jerry got up when Eddie
turned his back and he beat him down, but Eddie fired back with a
shoulder breaker. Eddie Guerrero and Jerry Lynn continued to battle
in and out of the ring and Jerry gave Eddie the cradle piledriver
onto the Cruiserweight title and then Jerry picked up the title and
told Eddie that he's got his number. He'll be back for his title,
Champ!
Larry Zybysko was shown arriving in the backstage area. What could
the Living Legend be doing here?!
No Disqualification Match
Devon Storm vs. Sabu
It's time for the big No Disqualification match between Sabu and
Devon Storm. In my eyes, this match has the potential to be the show
stealer. Bill Alfonso accompanied Sabu to the ring. Ugh, the whistle.
Sabu took Devon Storm down with a single leg to start it off, but
Devon kicked Sabu away to get out of it. The two locked it up and
Sabu gained control to start it off.
Sabu was busted open a couple minutes into the match. Alfonso set up
a table on the outside and Devon Storm went for a sunset power bomb
through the table, but he missed the table. (Not sure if it was
supposed to hit the table or not.) Alfonso tossed Sabu a chair and
Sabu tossed it right into Devon's head. Shortly after, Sabu set up
the chair and then he hopped off it, Poetry in Motion style and
nailed Devon with a heel kick in the corner. Devon Storm gave Sabu a
DVD onto the steel chair and then he pinned him but only got a two
count. There was a table spot on the outside of the ring when the
table was set up against the rail and Devon was placed against the
table and Sabu came off the top rope with a splash against the table.
Looked like Sabu hurt himself more than Devon was hurt. Shameful
thing is that the camera missed the table spot.
Alfonso accidentally nailed Sabu with the steel chair and Devon Storm
rolled Sabu up in a pin to pick up the win.
Winner - Devon Storm
After the match, Bill Alfonso explained to Sabu what happened as
Devon limped away from the ring. Bill gave Sabu the chair and as
Devon walked away, Sabu got up and tossed the chair at Devon Storm to
knock him down on the stage. Sabu then continued to beat up on Devon
with the steel chair at the top of the ramp. Bill picked up a table
and brought it to the top of the stage and Sabu set Devon up on the
table and then Sabu climbed onto the structure and then he came off
with the Arabian Face Buster on Devon Storm right through the table!
Nice spot there.
Lenny and Lodi were seen doing their thing and Lodi was doing
something to Lenny's ass. Oh wait, he was sewing his tights. Neat.
Mark Madden got in the ring and introduced Larry Zybysko to the ring.
Larry has something to say! Larry thanked the fans for their response
and he gave the fans a little history lesson about himself. He
started 29 glorious years ago in the World Wide Wrestling Federation.
The WWWF. It was run and owned by a promoter named Vince McMahon Sr.
Vince McMahon Sr. was a very aristocratic, classy promoter. He was a
promoter's promoter. And because Vince McMahon Sr. let the creme rise
to the top, the WWWF was the premiere territory of the times.
Very sadly around 1981, Vince Sr. passed away and even more sadly
after that, his legacy was passed on to Vince McMahon Jr. Vince
McMahon Jr. is not a classy kind of individual like his father. He's
a very bitter, resentful man who doesn't like professional wrestlers.
He's always wanted to be one, but his father would never let him
because Vince Sr. knew his kid couldn't take it. It's no secret that
he's been calling Vince Jr. out because he doesn't appreciate
watching him for 20 years slapping wrestlers in the face like they're
trained animals. For the 20 years that he's been listening to his
nonsense, never did he talk bad about his organization and for the
record, he hopes all those wrestlers do well, but because Vince Jr.
does not let the creme rise to the top, we had a very personal
incident that happened 20 years ago that he will never forgive him
for. Larry vowed 20 years ago that he would never be in his
organization and he's proud to say that he never was. He's also very
proud to be here with the WWA. The people and promoter here have
respect for the wrestlers.
They want the creme to rise to the top and they have also opened the
door further to his challenge of Vinnie Jr. Larry should have
stretched him 20 years ago, but he's going to stretch him now. The
people of the WWA have offered this ring to be neutral. A place for
he and Jr. to settle a score that reaches back to decades. Larry said
it's not his fault that Vince's business is way down and it's not his
fault that Chris Jericho is way too short to be a super duper star
and a living legend. So it's time Vinnie, it's time to answer the
challenge of him and 100 million wrestling fans around the world.
It's time for Vince McMahon Jr. to reach out his arm, to open his
hand and accept his challenge and accept his one way, first class
ticket to Larry Land and stand across the ring from him, the Living
Legend! Larry has said his piece now to the world and now the ball is
in the court of Vince McMahon JR. And now Junior, the world awaits
Vince's response. Time to show everybody exactly what it is he
believes in.
The West Hollywood Blondes vs. Rick Steiner and Ernest Miller
Lenny and Lodi, the West Hollywood Blondes made their way out to the
ring for a tag team match, but who are they up against??
Rick Steiner is one of the opponents for the West Hollywood Blondes.
And his tag team partner: Ernest "The Cat" Miller!
Rick Steiner and Lenny Lane started it off in the ring and Rick
backed Lenny into the corner and the referee called for a clean break
and he got just that, but as Rick backed off, Lenny grabbed him from
behind.
I turned my head and when I look back, Ernest Miller pinned Lenny
Lane. I missed the finish and they didn't show a replay.
Winners - Rick Steiner and Ernest Miller
After the match, Ernest Miller punked out Mark Madden.
WWA Heavyweight Championship Match
Brian Christopher vs. Jeff Jarrett (c)
Brian Christopher made his way out to the ring to the music that
Rikishi is currently using. He did his whole Grandmaster Sexay deal,
but they were unable to call him that. Before the match, Brian
Christopher worked the mic and got under Jarrett's skin. Brian
referred to himself as the Grandmasta and he got the fans pumped up,
because he's here to dance...if he wins, that is.
The two locked it up in the ring to start it off and Jeff took Brian
down with an arm drag and then he posed on the ropes and the fans
booed him.
Jeff and Brian battled in and out of the ring in a hard fought match.
Brian Christopher got Jeff Jarrett in a sunset flip power bomb off
the apron onto the arena floor. I always find that to be a pretty
nasty bump even though it's probably not as bad as I think. It's a
cool move, too. Brian nailed Jeff Jarrett in the head with a non
folding steel chair (now why would he do that?) and then he rolled
him back into the ring and hit him with the hip hop drop, but the
referee was slow to make the count as he was out of position. Two
referees argued on the outside of the ring and that allowed Jeff
Jarrett to clobber Brian Christopher on the head with the guitar.
Jarrett pinned Brian, but the other referee pulled the referee out of
the ring. The two referees argued in the ring and one shoved the
other down and then the two went at it. Jeff Jarrett grabbed the
title and went to hit Brian, but Brian countered it and Brian went
for a piledriver on the belt, but Jeff countered it and gave Brian
the Stroke on the Championship and then a pin for a three count to
get the win.
Winner and still WWA Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett
Welcome back, Karv!!! I'm afraid I'm going to be sick as of this
morning, I'm leaving to have my wisdom teeth removed shortly. It
sucks, its causing me to drop out of the PAW Regional Tour this week,
I was set to face the PAW Champion, Silkywine tomorrow night... ah
well, I'm already famous so I'm all set.

Hey everyone sorry that i've been gone so long but unfourtly my
computer has been broken for a long time now, hopefully i'll be able
to be on more often.
These are my predictions for No Way Out, live February 17th 2002.
Undisputed Championship Match: "Y2J" Chris Jericho (c) vs Stone Cold
Steve Austin
I think the last thing we need right now is Austin to win yet another
world title and be a transition champion just to ensure high buyrates
for Wrestlemania. I'm not ready to see Jericho drop the title yet and
I don't think he will come tomorrow. I expect some nice interference
from the nWo to cost Austin the match and set up a feud with Kevin
Nash or Scott Hall that would climax at Wrestlemania. Also, expect
someone to announce on Heat that this match will be "No Holds
Barred." What a surprise.
Predicted Winner: Chris Jericho
Desired Winner: Chris Jericho
#1 Contenders Match for Wrestlemania: Kurt Angle vs Triple H
No surprise here, I expect HHH to keep his hot streak going and to
continue his course for Wrestlemania. I almost hope that Angle will
lose under some controversy that would lead to the Wrestlemania main
event being a triple threat match with Jericho and HHH. That would be
a dream match for me considering Angle, HHH, and Y2J are the three
best main event players the Federation has. However, I don't see that
happening, but still should be a great match. I still fondly remember
HHH vs Angle at the Royal Rumble last year.
Predicted Winner: HHH
Desired Winner: HHH
The Rock vs The Undertaker
FINALLY, the Undertaker has become a decent heel. I honestly enjoyed
the Undertaker's work this past week and I also enjoyed Rock being
absent for the most part. However, all good things come to an end and
I see Rock pinning Undertaker and then soon after 'Taker will turn
face and battle the nWo.
Predicted Winner: The Rock
Desired Winner: The Undertaker
Rob Van Dam vs Goldust
This match has the potential to be the surprise hit of the night.
Both RVD and Goldust are on the top of their games right now and this
should be a great match. I must say though, their feud has been
little more then surprise attacks from behind (yawn). I might also
point out that out of all the returning superstars from the Royal
Rumble, Goldust is the only one of them scheduled for the PPV. Gee,
maybe Mr. Perfect should have stayed with the XWF. I predict to see
Venis and Godfather on Heat though, so no biggie there.
Predicted Winner: RVD
Desired Winner: RVD
Brass Knuckles on A Pole Match for the IC Championship: William Regal
(c) vs Edge
Yet another feud that has been little more then surprise attacks from
behind, I hope this match ends the feud for good. Now, I think I want
Edge to win just because with the nWo arriving, he's going to have to
wait longer before being pushed to the main event. Also, if Edge wins
I want him to have a nice LONG reign and have many good feuds with
maybe Lance Storm, Booker T, or maybe even my good friend, Perry
Saturn. Okay, now I'm dreaming...
Predicted Winner: William Regal
Desired Winner: Edge
Tag Team Championship: Tazz and Spike (c) vs Booker T and Test
I'm not ready to see Tazz and Spike drop the titles yet, period.
However, I hope this match turns out to be longer then the one at
Royal Rumble. I like the contrasting styles in this match (though I'm
sick of seeing Spike vs Test). I think Tazz and Booker T would be
capable of having a great singles feud, so maybe this could be the
foundation for that someday. Also, I might add that if Booker T and
Test do win this, then the Hardyz are a lock to win Tag Team Turmoil.
Predicted Winners: Booker T and Test
Desired Winners: Spike and Tazz
Tag Team Turmoil (Winners get title shot at Wrestlemania): The Hardy
Boyz vs The Dudley Boyz vs Albert and Spike vs Billy and Chuck vs
Lance Storm and Christian vs The APA
Another convenient match to get all this talent on PPV. I'm going
straight to the point, if Booker T and Test win the titles tomorrow,
Hardyz will win. If Spike and Tazz retain then Billy and Chuck will
win. Since I think Booker T and Test have a victory heading their way
then I have to go with the returning Hardy Boyz to win and get a shot
at glory at Wrestlemania (especially after losing to Edge and
Christian two years in a row).
Predicted Winners: The Hardy Boyz
Desired Winners: Billy and Chuck
