Subject: Audio Wrestling's Reaction to Kash/TNA
rings_of_per...
Offline Offline

The producers of the AudioWrestling.com site and "Wrestling News
Live" program that featured the controversial live interview with
David "Kid Kash" Cash this week have been buried with media requests
and questions over the last 48 hours. Now that the interview has
apparently caused TNA to release Kid Kash, we wanted to make a few
things clear to everyone.

In the interview, Kash bashed TNA and said he wanted a release from
the company so he could possibly participate at the ECW One Night
Stand PPV coming up in June. Kash also made numerous negative
comments about the TNA product and said he would no longer be giving
TNA 100% effort in the ring (if you missed it, a full recap is
included at the end of this statement).

On Tuesday, news broke that TNA officials had discussions regarding
the WNL interview and decided to give Kash his release since the
negative comments made on the show were not positive for the
company's image going forward.

"Under any other circumstances, I would be very, very upset at the
fact that a man's job was taken away from him do to comments made on
our wrestling show," said Trey Stone, co-host and producer of the
Wrestling News Live program. "However, it was very apparent from the
beginning of the interview that Kid Kash wanted to be fired or
released from his contract. I hope he is happy with the decision he
made and doesn't regret the things he said on our show."

While the hosts of the show, Stone and Jody Kinard (known to
listeners simply as Trey and JSK) both agreed with Kash on many of
his points about the creative direction of TNA, there were also many
comments made by Kash that the hosts disagreed with and in some
cases, argued against. The producers and hosts of AudioWrestling.com
and Wrestling News Live do not have any personal conflicts with TNA
and have a tremendous amount of respect for their product and
talent. We would like to set an open invitation to anyone from the
TNA organization to be a guest on a future edition of WNL to have an
open forum to discuss "their side of the story" and to challenge any
of the comments or claims made by Kid Kash on the 4/18/05 edition of
WNL.

"If you have had any problems accessing the AudioWrestling.com site
in the last few days it is because the site has been absolutely
flooded with traffic stemming from the explosive interview Kid Kash
had on Wrestling News Live," said Paul Austin, creative director of
the AudioWrestling.com website. "The one hour interview is available
in streaming audio on the site and is expected to come close to
matching 'first 72 hour' records for most downloads for an
individual interview in the site's 9 year history which has included
interviews with the top names in the industry including The Rock,
Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Jim Ross and
hundreds of others."

According to TNA sources, Kid Kash will be released from his contract.
His name on the official website's superstars section has been removed
and TNA will be issueing an official statement regarding his release
shortly.

This release more than likely stems from his outburst on the company
on a radio show last weekend where he lashed out TNA in regards to
payoffs, merchandising money, older wrestlers and not being able to
participate in the forthcoming ECW PPV among other things. He said
he'd gladly take a WWE developmental deal if he is offered one.

Kid Kash was most recently paired off with Lance Hoyt.

Chris Jericho made an appearance in-studio on the Opie & Anthony
show on XM Channel 202 on Monday.

-The trio talked mostly about wrestlers singing, playing songs from
Hulk Hogan ("I Wanna Be A Hulkamaniac") and Randy Savage (his call-
out to Hogan). About Hogan's record: "Wow, I'd love to know how many
records sold?" and on Randy Savage "That was f---ing terrible! You
know, if you are going to sing and you are a wrestler, don't sing
about wrestling. That was really f---ing horrible!"

-One caller asked Jericho about his impressions of Triple H being
the centerpiece of Raw, mentioning "Booking 101" says that you focus
on the new champ, not the old one talking about himself. Jericho
responded, "Well, Triple H is the star of the show and he's going to
be the one focused upon. ... It has been that way for the past five
years. It was like than when I won the belt and when (Chris) Benoit
won as well. That's just the way things (are)."

-The hosts asked Jericho about his contact. Jericho said that it was
up in eight months, "and right now, no (about renewing it)." He
explained that he just got back from Australia (on the overseas
trip) and that he's soon to take off to Scotland, England, and
Germany for WWE. Also, Fozzy was playing in Germany around the same
time. "Sometimes you are like on a gerbil wheel, running to get that
little pellet. It can get to you at times," he added. He sounded
exhausted.

-He then noted that he's going to see on the Internet that "Jericho
is going to retire" or "Jericho won't renew his contract!" "It is
usually run by 14 and 15 year olds and the guys in the back read
it," Jericho said, joking on the notion. "Some of the guys actually
take it (the Internet reports) seriously. They won't think they had
a good match until someone (on the Internet) say that they did."

-Also, someone e-mailed the show and it said to ask Jericho
about "Lita and Edge screwing and watch him squirm!" "I'm
squirming," Jericho said. He then said that it was "an extremely f---
ed up situation to lose your job and your girlfriend in a short
period of time while doing nothing wrong" and "bad business" to
release Hardy.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Some day when Jericho no longer works for WWE, I would LOVE to hear
his REAL thoughts on what goes on in that company.

Although one of the rumored suggestions for the Draft Lottery called
for Shawn Michaels to jump to SmackDown! and begin a feud with John
Cena - as a heel - there's talk he's against such a plan. While HBK
could very well end up on SmackDown, he has told those close to him
that he's not at all in favor of a heel turn and wants to continue
his babyface character.

Marty Jannetty is now set to begin with WWE in May. No word was
available on plans for his on-air return.

====================================================

Personally, I think putting Michaels on Smackdown against Cena would
not be a good idea. HBK being forced to be a heel will just make him
resentful and he'll half-ass the feud and more than likely botch
Cena's push. I'd be more in favor of a Chris Jericho jump to
Smackdown, turn heel, and take on Cena.

And judging by last night's crowd, a Cena/Christian feud would rock.

Sources backstage at WWE RAW last night observed that Amy "Lita" Dumas
was somewhat shaken up by the heated reaction she recieved from the
crowd at Madison Square Garden. During her segment with Trish Stratus,
numerous fans chanted in favor of Matt Hardy, and against her, which
clearly had an affect. Edge on the other hand was said to have taken
it all in his stride and felt it's great heet for his heel character.

Frankie Kazarian was awarded the "Future Legend" distinction at the
Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas in recently, an award that both
Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit have been awarded in the past. Kazarian is
slated to start with WWE shortly.

There was a blurb in Oxygen Magazine nothing that the Rock came second

I'm sorry to keep posting all the happenings of this pathetic real
life soap opera, but this one was just too classic.

From TheMattHardy.com Message Board

WARNING!!! THIS IS A LOT LONGER THAN I INTENDED IT TO BE!!!
Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.

"They" meaning all of us. The human race. We all sin, we all error.
We all do things that need to be forgiven. As a Christian I have
been struggling with this "situation" for months. As a human being
(living in the flesh) I have wanted to retaliate and come forward
and speak my mind a lot sooner.

I married a man, Adam Copeland, six months ago with the thoughts
of "til death do us part." Obviously in our state of society that
rarely exists anymore. The divorce rate is at 55% and no one bats an
eyelash. When this story first broke I read so many things
saying "People cheat, that's what they do" "Athletes, cheat that's
what they do!" That my friends is a cop out. It is a way for all of
us to look at ourselves and affirm our own actions in life. Whatever
our own weaknesses are, we love to hear of others "failing". The
old "I told you so"................. Throughout my adult life I have
dated atheletes or somewhat "high profile" people, not because that
was/is important but because those were/are the type of people I
meet. I was modeling when I met my last boyfriend who is a pro
baseball player and my best friend is married to a WWE wrestler. Big
deal. I have been tagged as a gold digger, it's not that. It's the
circle of people you are surrounded by. If not at the clubs, how
does anyone meet their significant others? Through work, friends
etc. What's the point to all of this???? Not much, just giving you
all a little insight to who I am.

These last few months have been some of the most painful months I
have ever experienced as a human being. I know we are all capable of
hurting each other. Capable of things we never "intended" to do.
Intended--- Amy and Matt where at our wedding. Amy was not welcomed
there in my eyes because she was always a bitch to me and until now
did not know why. But my thought was..."how do we invite Matt and
Jeff and not Amy?" I will be the bigger person here and not stoop
down to her level. I thought maybe as a woman she was "testing" me
out after Alanah... wondering who this girl was in her friends life
so soon. Does she want him for the right reasons, etc. I gave her
that... little did I know this was all lurking around the corner.
Adam and Amy... Amy and Adam... oh they feel in love... poor Matt,
poor Lisa. I call bullshit. Adam and I never disrespected Alanah. I
didn't want to have anything to do with Adam until his divorce was
under way and I felt we were being honest and not hurting anyone. I
always thought Adam was the Victim in that relationship, but now
being on the other side of the fence..... not so sure anymore.

Did Adam and Amy make a mistake? Sure! Did Adam and Lisa move too
fast into another marriage? Maybe we did.... Did Amy and Matt have
problems? Not to my knowledge........... there are so many theory's,
so many should haves, could haves, would haves......... but the real
story is this--As a human being........ and I stress Human, how does
one continue to do this?

Where their actions unforgivable? NO, but it's how they have both
handled it after the fact. Adam blaming Matt for not being a stand
up boyfriend and in turn having his girlfriend confide in him....
justifying how he could not only betray his wife but one of his best
friends..... come on people you read his book.... him and Matt were
best friends. When he had his neck surgery there were 5 people from
the WWE that called Adam weekly to check on him--Matt being on of
them. Matt was there so many times for Amy when she hurt herself.
Whether it was the neck, the knee, or anything, he was there for
her. How could Matt post his personal life on the net.... How
immmature, right? Give me a break people.... If Matt wrote this all
in his book............ No big deal! But because the WWE didn't make
one red cent from this his personal life is "off limits". What was
Unscripted all about. WWE's stars personal lives. As long as Vince
can make a buck...who cares what the fans know. But instead Matt got
fired b/c all the WWE is interested in now is Bimbos, another Diva
search please. Personally I always liked Amy as a wrestler. As a
person I always thought she was kinda a bitch and kinda looked like
a man but I just chalked that up to all of the steriods she did...
but hey maybe she's like Adam and only tried them once (Off the
Record) and still doing them! Oh OK!

Whatever.

Amy and Adam have had many many opportunities to tell Matt and I
both the truth. A chance to say hey... Sorry I hurt you but I fell
in love with someone else. But they have both repeatedly continued
to lie, lie, lie, lie! Why do they have backstage heat when
suppposedly everyone else is cheating on their spouses? Because Adam
is a coward and started naming names trying to bring others down
with him. Amy was never respected by any of the girls b/c she
treated them all as T-N-A and now that she needs them she is trying
to gain sympathy. Well too bad, that is not how the world works. As
women we don't trust each other as it is.......... as a woman
disrespected by another ---Fuck you bitch! I had heard somewhere
that she tried to call me to apologize but that was a lie... I have
tried to call her numerous times with no luck unless I call her from
Adams cell, only then does she answer. They are both cowards they
are both liars and they both need major psychological help. Maybe
one day they will get it.... maybe not. I know Matt and I will
prevail. God doesn't bless those who have evil in their hearts. I am
trying to forgive

Adam and Amy but it will take a while. Edge and Lita may be one
thing, but take away Adam's steriods and what would he be? Another
6'4" skinny guy and take away Amy's oppenents like Gail Kim, Molly
Holly, Victoria--Girls that know how to wrestle and guess what? That
nasty bitch will bust her knee cap every other 7 months. Good
riddance to them both. They deserve each other. Just remember what
goes around comes around. I may not have handled this in the best
way possible, but I never expected this to be my life right now so
please forgive me........... God bless Matt and all the future has
to offer him. And God bless Adam and Amy b/c they will need it when
Karma comes knocking on their doors!

After just watching Lita and Edge on Raw, it's very obvious what the
WWE fans feel and believe. Madison Square Garden, which has been the
WWE's barometer for years about what the fans really think, let them
know tonight. Matt Hardy got shafted--by a one time close friend, by a
women I have given everything within me, and by a company I loved with
everything I am. The "WE WANT MATT" and "YOU SCREWED MATT" show that
people DO care, and that people sympathize with my terrible situation.
People who have met me know that I LOVE the professional wrestling
business. People who have met me know that I LOVE the people that
support me. I absolutely loved MSG and all the people that were
standing up for me tonight. I am 30 years old, and in the best shape
physically that I have ever been in. I have more to offer the
professional wrestling business than I ever have before, and I will. I
refuse to lay down and die. I am like each and every one of you--I
struggle for what I love and what I believe in every day. We will not
be denied--THANK YOU for your support.

This is the time of year where WWE calls up new talent from Ohio
Valley Wrestling to freshen things up a bit and here is what is on
tap to go along with the additions of Melina Perez, Joey Matthews
and Johnny Nitro.

Former Tough Enough 2 dropout Matt Morgan is making his return to
the Smackdown roster and he will be seen as early as this week's
Smackdown. His gimmick is a stuttering gimmick like Bubba Bubba Ray
Dudley in ECW and his early-WWF days in 1999.

It looks like Jillian Hall will make the WWE roster after all as
she's scheduled for a tag team match on Saturday May 28, 2005 when
she teams up with Trish Stratus to take on Victoria and Christy
Hemme. Even though she is a good in-ring worker, many thought she'd
never make the WWE roster as she didn't have much of a "WWE Diva"
look and was a bit on the pudgy side. She's since gotten a major
makeover and can pass of as a "WWE Diva" a bit better now.

Apparently, her gimmick is that she is supposed to have a prosthetic
mole on her face. Yes, you read right. That is what the WWE writers
have come up for her.

It looks like Romero Roselli and Anthony Thomas will be "WWE
Superstars" rather than just indy league talent which are used one
time. They'll be feuding with William Regal and Tajiri, who have
been wrestling La Resistance' more times that one can count. Romeo
and Antonio will be known as "The Heart Throbs". There gimmick is
that they're oblivious to their "stereotypical gayness," a spoof on
the "Obliviously Gay Duo" on Saturday Night Live.

Marty Wright was given a look before Raw. He was nixed from being on
the Tough Enough cast in October because he lied about his age. He
is 40. But he is so impressive that WWE couldn't help but sign him
to a developmental contract. He is currently learning the craft in
Ohio Valley Wrestling, but has yet to appear on television.

What can be said for now and for future roster additions is that
just about everyone that gets called up from OVW will have a gimmick
of some sort as opposed to like in 2002 where just about everyone
that debuted that year was "just being themselves", had no gimmick
and used their real names. This is only the beginning of a new wave
of wrestlers with gimmicks.

There was a sense of satisfaction amongst talent and other staff about
the crowd reaction Lita received during her segment with Trish Stratus
on RAW last night.

Both Edge and Lita are not the most popular faces backstage right now,
and there is resentment towards them for how Matt Hardy lost his job
in seemingly unfair circumstances.

There was anticipation backstage last night on how the MSG crowd would
react considering they are renowned for being vocal about issues. The
crowd certainly didn't hold back and let their feelings on the
situation be known. "Vince McMahon considers MSG his gauge for what's
over in his company," says one wrestler. "I wonder what he was
thinking during that segment," said one wrestler.

WWE have planned the Draft Lottery for May so that no roster changes
have to be made before the Backlash PPV.

The two big switches that could happen from the draft are rumored to
be Shawn Michaels to SmackDown! and Kurt Angle to RAW. It would be a
very interesting double-switch if it were to happen as Angle and
Triple H aren't regarded as the best of friends and there has been
rivalry between the pair for a couple of years now. Meanwhile,
SmackDown! would gain a big hitter if they were to get Shawn Michaels.
It's no secret that he is close with Vince McMahon and has a good
friendship with Paul "HHH" Levesque, both which have enhanced his
reputation.

Two potential scenarios could see Shawn Michaels turning heel and
working with John Cena and Kurt Angle working a program with Batista
after his feud with HHH is done.

-- Led by a strong 4.8 for Batista's promo, this week's edition of
WWE RAW scored a 4.0 rating.

-- The Ultimate Fighter finale posted a strong 1.9 rating on
Saturday, with the show peaking at 3.3. Considering it didn't have
the precious RAW lead-in, the finale's strong rating is a testament
to the success of the series and will definitely leave Spike TV's
mouth watering in anticipation for the second season.

Although MMA fans have a lot to be proud of, sources who are trying
to dismiss WWE's role in boosting the series are unfortunately
incorrect. While the finale's rating proves the series connected
with fans, the fact that WWE RAW helped launch the series cannot be
ignored. It was the quality of "Ultimate Fighter" that scored the
1.9 finale rating, but it was the WWE RAW lead-in that gave the show
its initial audience.

One could make a strong comparison to the situation with the popular
FOX medical drama "House." Before it received the beloved American
Idol lead-in, the show would only draw in the 3-4 rating territory.
Once American Idol kicked in, the show began to receive 8s and 9s.
It was then that the quality of the series helped it move up to 10-
11 territory, with the strong implication that once the American
Idol lead-in is removed, the show will still perform well in the
ratings. But, just as House fans cannot refrain from offering
gratitude to American Idol, UFC still has WWE to thank for its
reality show's success.

As reported earlier by Daniel, Molly Holly was generally upset with
her position in WWE; if a factor at all, the announcement of a
second diva search was only the straw that broke the camel's back.
1Wrestling's Joey Styles cites backstage sources in claiming that
Molly was upset with both her character and the fact that WWE
doesn't prioritize women's wrestling.

Despite rumors, WWE will not be running the Draft Lottery on next
week's MSG SuperShow. Vince McMahon has confirmed interest in
running the draft on numerous occasions, but (as first reported
here) it had been known for a while that the 4/18 date would have
made promoting the event very difficult.

WWE has long hoped to push the draft as an annual special, and
refraining from running the event this year would obviously end
hopes of beginning such a tradition. Sources close to the situation
have said that Vince and other WWE officials want to do a draft but
nothing has been confirmed.

Keep checking into this website for the latest details on a
potential draft.

The following is an update on all the recent releases that have
taken place in WWE as of late:

Matt Hardy's release is said to have come about because of the whole
Edge-Lita situation. The word is that Hardy may have shot himself in
the foot by releasing his story on the Internet and contacting news
outlets about the whole love triangle saga. As previously reported,
when it came down to it, WWE felt Edge was a more valuable asset and
thus decided to release Matt Hardy. There is also talk that past
problems between Matt Hardy and head of WWE's Talent Relegations
John Laurinatis may have been the cause of his release. There was
immediate heat between the pair when Laurinatis joined WWE in 2001.
As the story goes, Matt Hardy was one of the superstars that opposed
an ex-ECW employee instructing talent on how to do their job.
Subsequently, Laurinatis has gained more power, and that has
seemingly worked against Hardy. While many are unhappy at Hardy's
release, there is a feeling that Hardy was "burned out" over the
whole situation and needed a change.

John Laurinatis was also at the center of Molly Holly's release when
the pair had a 15-minute discussion about her release on Monday.
Holly had been pushing to turn face, but the company felt that she
wouldn't work in that role. According to sources, Holly has been
deliberating over her WWE future for some time now.

With regard to the release of "Chilly Willy" Will Jones, it was felt
that he wasn't progressing quickly enough and didn't have the
required support to keep him under a developmental deal.

Injuries were Jesus' downfall with WWE feeling he may never be able
to heal to the point where he could work a full-time schedule with
the company.

According to several backstage sources, Triple H injured his neck at
Monday's RAW telecast. His condition was so bad that, at one point, he
collapsed.

The initial injury occurred during the match with Rosey and Hurricane;
specifically, when Rosey's legdrop put pressure on Triple H's neck and
head. It was originally believed that he had a concussion, but sources
have not been able to confirm the validity of such a statement.

After the match, he iced his neck and felt well enough to go back out
for the final segment with Jim Ross and Batista. However, this idea
turned out to be ill-advised and Triple H reaggravated the neck
injury. He passed out shortly after returning to the back.

Triple H's injury was not only the likely factor in WWE's decision to
cancel the advertised tag match for post-RAW, but a factor in
Stephanie McMahon's decision to remain home and skip her planned trip
to Ohio Valley Wrestling.

At this point, one of the greatest concessions in WWE's upcoming
move to USA will be the loss of two of its weekend programs.
Although the move is so far away that a second show could still be
figured into the deal, USA reportedly only has interest in running
Heat. None of WWE's weekend shows deliver in the ratings and USA
does not want to sacrifice its strong mix of original programming,
Law & Order and movies for programs that cannot perform.

Even though WWE will lose quite a bit of guaranteed ad revenue,
Vince McMahon is happy with the deal because he feels it gives an
opportunity for an increase in ratings and reputation. Sources close
to the situation indicate WWE is desperately trying to court
advertisers of a higher-class, and the feeling is that USA's
anticipated marketing blitz for the return of RAW, coupled with the
NBC specials, will give WWE an increased opportunity to move up the
ladder.

WWE remains confident that the Telemundo exposure for RAW will
improve WWE's connections with the Hispanic market. While there are
Hispanic currently watching WWE, the feeling is that WWE needs to do
a better job of attracting such fans and can definitely benefit from
Telemundo.

Although Spike TV will never admit it publicly, many believe the
network knew they could not provide enough money to compensate for
the extras in the USA package, so opted to pull out.

I'm responding to this news post I added to the group back on April
30th 2004. It was when everyone was scared about the push
John "Bradshaw" Layfield was getting and was on his way to a main
event match against Eddie Guerrero at Judgment Day.

Since this post, JBL went on to win the WWE Championship and held
the title for almost 10 months. If someone told me this would happen
on April 30th last year I'd call them insane.

In retrospect, the JBL title reign turned out to be entertaining. It
didn't really help or hurt business all that much and JBL turned
into one of the more consistent characters on Smackdown. He evolved
from an uncredible world champion who had gone from tag team
wrestler to main eventer in the span of two months and had become
the most dominant WWE Champion in almost a decade.

For the record, JBL had a couple of classic matches along the way. I
give heavy praise to all three matches he had with Eddie Guerrero,
his last man standing match with Kurt Angle, and proving us all
wrong that he could be a capable main event force. My hat goes off
to JBL, I am sorry that I doubted him.

And it does not even pain me to say that.

Here are some notes from the WrestleMania 21 post-game party last
night at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.

- Every major WWE superstar was there including a brief appearance
by The Rock except for Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Rowdy Roddy
Piper.

- Steve Austin was seen having a lengthy conversation with Shane
McMahon.

- Dave Batista kept to himself for most of the night, hanging out in
a side room watching the WrestleMania replay.

- Vince McMahon was opening socially with everyone. Christy Hemme
was seen trying to apologize to McMahon for her match, although
Vince told her that everything was fine.

- Pat Patterson was spotted with Kurt Angle going over his match via
replay. Apparently Patterson was very impressed with the match.

- Other guest appearances at the party included Macauley Culkin,
Motorhead, and Shannon Elizabeth.

"2005" is a new photo folder here that I've added images of 44
different WWE superstars to. My hope is that years from now it will be
a good time capsule to go back and look at the current roster. I'm
going to keep adding to it until I have as much as the roster as I
wish to post.

In a bit of sad news, current SD announcer Tazz was not at Tuesday's
Smackdown tapings due to the death of his father over the weekend.
Tazz will however still be co-announcing Wrestlemania 21 with Michael
Cole, Jim Ross, and Jerry "The King" Lawler. We here at LOP wish to
send out deepest condolences to Tazz and his family during this time
of mourning.

VH-1 have officially announced that a new reality show featuring
wrestling legend Hulk Hogan will air this summer. It will be
entitled, "Hogan Knows Best."

The show will portray Hogan as "traditional suburban dad to two
teenagers on a 20,000 square foot estate in Clearwater FL.

The show also documents how far Hogan will go to keep tabs on his
daughter Brooke who has just started dating.

There are conflicting reports making rounds on Jeff Jarrett's
meeting with Spike TV. PWTorch.com claims that Jarrett left the
meeting "upbeat and optimistic" about the possibility of a TV deal
on the network, in addition to stating that Spike TV is interested
in capitalizing on a wrestling product with a track record and
smaller price tag than WWE. However, WrestlingObserver.com claims
there was little interest expressed on Spike's side. On the
network's part, the feeling is that even if TNA could draw a 1.5,
and its spot on FSN gives no guarantee that a 1.5 is possible, Spike
could achieve more business success by running a re-run of an
established series like CSI.

Various sources claim that the very fact that Jarrett is meeting
with network officials bodes well for TNA's future. The promotion
already met with a network about a better weekday cable deal, and a
top pro wrestling star is claiming he'd seriously consider signing
to TNA if it could secure clearance for a strong cable package.
There also is animosity on Spike's part due to Vince's "pompous"
demeanor in meetings, so getting the chance to compete with WWE
wouldn't exactly be a bad thing in the network's eyes.

But, WrestlingObserver.com reminds fans that Spike and TNA are
nowhere near reaching a deal for a Monday slot. Obviously, running
TNA right after WWE jumped to another cable network could be a good
ratings move, but there would have to be a huge boost in the
network's confidence to sign such a deal. In any event, the meeting
did happen and Jeff Jarrett did leave optimistic.

As reported yesterday, there was some backstage heat on Muhammad
Hassan for his "throat slash" gesture across Michaels' neck on RAW
this past Monday.

Many have compared Hassan's action with Benoit's patented gesture, and
questioned why Hassan is getting heat for "the same thing."

The big difference between the two is that Benoit does the gesture
across his own throat, where as Hassan held up Michaels' head and did
it across Michaels' throat - a very different scenario.

With Hassan portraying an Arab-American heel character, and given the
recent beheadings, it wasn't a smart move by Hassan.

There is talk going around the WWE that Al Snow will compete on the
ECW "One Night Only" PPV that the company is producing in June.

For those who don't recall, Al Snow spent a decent amount of time in
ECW before returning to the WWE several years ago. In fact, it was in
ECW where the whole "head" gimmick was first started.

Snow hasn't wrestled as an active competitor in the WWE since he
joined forces with his former Sunday Night Heat partner The Coach to
feud with Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler back in 2003.

Snow also wrestled a match against Tajiri on Raw last year dressed as
a ninja.

So, anyone plan on ordering this show? I'm actually busy that night
so I know I won't. Here are my predicted match results and match
ratings:

Batista def Triple H, **3/4

JBL def John Cena, **1/2

Shawn Michaels def Kurt Angle, ****

Undertaker def Randy Orton, ***1/2

Edge wins the ladder match, ****1/2

Big Show def Akebono, 1/2*

Christy Hemme def Trish Stratus, DUD

Eddie Guerrero def Rey Mysterio, ****

So I'm expecting a really solid WrestleMania, though the main events
are kind of weak and the Women's title match will most likely suck.

Last Saturday, SmackDown! star Shannon Moore was involved in a head-
on car collision wih a renowned sergeant in the US Army near Fort
Bragg.

Moore had met with friends from the RAW roster, and was returning
home when he was his car was hit head-on by the soldier's Hummer,
who was later, arrested for drunken driving.

After leaving RAW, Matt Hardy, who lives in the area, was following
Shannon Moore home in his Corvette. During the journey, Moore
overtook Hardy, who should count himself lucky, as a collision with
his Corvette may have proved fatal.

Moore was injured from the impact, and it isn't known how long he
will be out for action.
