-Last night, at the Video Game Awards on Spike TV, WWE: Smackdown!
vs. RAW was up for "Best Fighting Game for 2004" against Mortal
Kombat: Deception, Def Jam: Fight for New York, Dead or Alive
Ultimate, and Fight Night 2004. Mortal Kombat: Deception, however,
won the award and the irony of this is that MK: Deception was
heavily advertised on WWE shows and probably benefitted from those
advertisements with the WWE's young male audience.
-Speaking of WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW for Playstation 2, it was
ranked #5 on overall sales volume for the month of November.
-Also, WWE: Smackdown! vs. RAW was ranked #4 on Canada's overall top
sales chart for video games in November.
Certainly, being #6 on Gamefly's rental list, #5 on overall sales
for November, and #4 in Canada has to be great news for WWE's video
game franchise.
