It's been reported by various web wrestling sources that Triple H is
the reason the IC title will be no more at No Mercy. It was going to
be pushed as the most important title on Raw, and so given to Triple
H, but he felt the IC title was beneath him, and wanted a title at
the same level as Brock Lesnar's undisputed title.

LoP also reports that Steve (Austin) Williams has no desire to
return to the WWE, and he's shared no words with Vince McMahon or
Jim Ross for months. The only WWE employee he has talked with is
Blackjack Lanza a WWE road agent, whom Williams is friends with.
