NWA TNA REPORT FOR OCTOBER 2
This week's edition of NWA Total Nonstop Action opened up with Syxx
Pac and BG James coming to the ring. They took shots at Jeff Jarrett
and Ron Killings. Killings came out and said that he is the future
and those two are the past. Killings told James and Syxx that they
didn't want him, they wanted his title. Ron said he would only be
defending the title against people like himself. Syxx told him he
was tired of hearing Truth play the race card and told him to come
to the ring right now. Jeff Jarrett came out and asked Pac and James
where Scott Hall was this week. Then, Brian Lawler and Elix Skipper
came from behind and attacked Pac and James but they were quickly
run off.
X Division favorite The Amazing Red taking on the returning Shark
Boy. It was another in the long line of X Division classics that NWA
TNA fans have come to expect. After a back-and-forth match, Red
scored the pin. Skipper, who had come to ringside to do commentary,
destroyed Red and the security force after the match.
Low Ki then did an interview disputing Syxx Pac's earlier claim that
Ki wasn't a top tier wrestler yet. He said he would show The Truth
tonight how ready he is.
The Truth then came out and said he felt sorry for Low Ki and called
him out for their match. Low Ki accepted, and the match was on. The
two had a tough, back and forth match that saw the champ retain the
title. After the match, Killings was beaten down by a masked man.
Jose and Joel Maximo (the SATs) and The Flying Elvis team of Jorge
Estrada and Jimmy Yang were in the midst of a stellar tag team bout
when former Elvis team member Sonny Siaki came to ringside. Siaki
teased that he was there to rejoin the Elvises, but in actuality he
distracted Yang and Estrada and cost his former teammates the match,
as the SAT walked away the winners. SAT get a tag title shot next
week.
After the match, Jerry Lynn was attacked by Siaki and AJ Styles. The
two men put Lynn inside a trunk.
Siaki then took on the returning David Young. Siaki managed to walk
away the victor in a hotly contested match up that could have gone
either way.
Ron Harris teamed up with Aussie Ashley Hudson for a shot at Chris
Harris and James Storm's NWA Tag Team championship. We were told
that Ron Harris wasn't teaming with Brian Lee because Ron blamed Lee
for their loss to the champs last week. Ron Harris ended up costing
his team this week when he actually hit Aussie with his big boot.
Ron then attacked his partner and security until his brother Don
came down and cleared the ring.
Jerry Lynn was supposed to be interviewed, but the Elvises said he
was too injured to talk. Lynn still had to put his X Division Title
on the line against his arch nemesis, AJ Styles, in a ladder match
though. If Jerry was hurt, it was impossible to tell because he and
Styles had a match that has to be seen to be believed. The action in
this one made for an all time classic that saw Sonny Siaki come down
to ringside and watch the bout. Unfortunately, Siaki came down to
ringside and tried to interfere but Lynn nailed him. While Lynn did
that though, Styles climbed the ladder and grabbed the title belt to
become the new X Division champion. Siaki and Styles beat up Lynn
until many X Division wrestlers came down and made the save. Bob
Armstrong then came out and returned the title to Lynn. He said that
he and Styles will wrestle again next week, in another ladder match!
In the main event, BG James and Syxx Pac beat Brian Lawler and Jeff
Jarrett. April was at ringside for Lawler. This match started out as
brawl, that went all over the building, before becoming a regular
tag match. Skipper, who was originally in the main event but was
pulled by Bob Armstrong, then ran down to the ring and attacked Pac.
Then after James pinned Lawler, Skipper joined Lawler and Jarrett in
attacking James and Syxx. Red tried to make the save but couldn't do
it. SAT came down and took out Skipper, but Killings then joined
Jarrett in beating down James and Syxx as the show went off the air.
