NWA TNA REVIEW

If you saw the show, we're looking for your thoughts so you can leave
a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best
and worst match to Dave@....

B.G. James & Syxx-Pac came out to dance and recite poetry. I finally
got the visual of Harley Race out there doing a goofy Bob
Armstrong/JYD dance and it's not a pretty sight. In honor of his bad
poem, I've got a bad one of my own. We have a good friend named Scott
Hall. Whose career has taken a great fall. He's not here today. We
won't even do the usual wrestling lie and say. His mother has died or
his plane was delayed. Instead we've got no reason at all why at home
he has stayed. BG talked about Killings being a black superman and
they are white Kryptonite. Syxx-Pac then said he's tired of these
racial references because it's not 1967. This was all quite funny
when you think about it. Killings came out to chants that he's
overrated. Jeff Jarrett and Elix Skipper were out as well. They
announced the main event would now be 3-on-2. A few minutes later,
they said Skipper was out because Bob Armstrong made it two-on-two.
Skipper implied that it was racist decision to keep him out of the
match.

1. Amazing Red pinned Shark Boy after a sky twister press (infared)
and standing shooting star press (red star press). Your usual
assortment of good moves and missed spots. Skipper came out to attack
Red and gave him the O-zone move that Randy Orton wanted to give
Christian on Monday night the first time. Skipper destroyed the
lamest security staff on record until Don Harris hit the ring

2. Ron Killings pinned Low Ki with a gordbuster off the ropes called
the Truth Connection. A mystery man wearing a white mask and a white
sweatshirt attacked Killings. Whoever it was won't be the guy they
unmask because this guy had jobber offense written all over him.

3. Jose & Joel Maximo b Jimmy Yang & Jorge Estrada in a match where
the winners challenge for the tag titles next week. Fortunately, Yang
was in most of the way and he was really good. Sonny Siaki distracted
Estrada and the Maximos did a sick move where Estrada was on one of
the guys shoulders and the other came off the top rope, grabbing
Estrada on the way down for a DDT, which they called the Maximo
explosion.

Siaki and A.J. Styles attacked Jerry Lynn and put him in a case and
Styles sat on the case. WWF did this with Undertaker and Ultimate
Warrior and ran a whole summer off a suffocation angle

4. Siaki pinned David Young with the money clip (roll the dice).
Young had the match won with a spinebuster and then just stood there
and didn't know what to do. What a weird gimmick they gave him. Bad
match.

5. James Storm & Chris Harris kept the NWA tag titles over Ron Harris
& Ashley Hudson when Ron accidentally kicked Hudson and Chris pinned
him. Ron blamed Hudson for losing and attacked him after the match.
He also threw Jeremy Borash out of his chair to use it on Storm and
Chris as well as the lame security stuff until Don (that's the third
guy named Harris in this brawl) decked Ron. Bad match.

6. Jerry Lynn retained the X title in a reverse decision ladder match
win over Styles. Excellent match. Not as good as the three-way ladder
match but Lynn is a class above everyone in this promotion. All kinds
of creative ladder spots. Styles did a missile dropkick on Lynn
knocking him off the ladder. Lynn suplexed Styles over the top rope
with the ladder laying between the apron and guard rail. Styles bled.
Styles used a back suplex off a ladder. Lynn tried a vertical suplex
on Styles with both about two rungs from the top. That wasn't good
and the landing looked very scary but nobody was hurt. Styles came
off the top for another missile dropkick on Lynn on the ladder, but
Lynn jumped off the ladder and met him with a clothesline. Lynn used
a plancha outside on Siaki. Styles did a springboard flip dive onto
the floor on Lynn and then got in the ring, climbed the ladder and
got the belt. Bob Armstrong came out and said that due to Siaki's
interference, that Lynn was still the champ and we'd have a ladder
match rematch next week

Don West did his aneurysm inducing hype for next week. He announced
Chris Rock would be there filming a movie. Another ladder match,
which guarantees probably a great match next week. He didn't announce
Storm & Harris vs. SAT's for the tag title. He did announce a four-
way Iron Man match with Tony Mamaluke, Kid Kash, Low Ki and Ace
Steele, and that the big stars like Jarrett and Scott Hall would be
there.

7. Syxx-Pac & James beat Jarrett & Brian Lawler when James pinned
Lawler after a pump handle slam. X-Pac was good and Jarrett was fine.
The other two were not good with James looking pretty bad. Skipper
got involved after the match with Killings and they laid out the
faces, as well as Red and the Maximos who tried to make the save.
Heels were running wild when the show ended.
