In the back, Triple H is being tended to by medics. Austin shoves his
way into the room.

Austin: What the hell were you doing out there!

Triple H: I was trying to cover the Rock's back. Scott Hall did kick
out of the Rock Bottom, a little assurance is always good. Wouldn't
you agree?

Austin: You're little back-up trick backfired! You were just begging
for Jericho to jump you! Do us all a favor and stay in the back
during my match. I don't need any back-up, especially from you!

Austin leaves with Triple H scowling.

"Hey, its me, its me: D-D-P!" DDP's music airs throughout the arena
as Diamond Dallas Page makes his way down the ramp. He is the
European Champion and he has come to defend his title against the man
who turned his back on him, Christian. DDP gets into the ring and
does his little "bang!" trick for the fans. The audience pops loudly.

"Christiaaaaaaaaan, Christiaaaaaaaan" starts of Christian's music as
Christian makes his way to the ring. He is wearing jumbo shades and
looks to be in good spirits. He is still patting himself on the back
for defeating Billy Gunn and for turning on Diamond Dallas Page.
Christian enters the ring and the match starts.

DDP starts off strong, getting many good hits onto Christian.
Christian takes much abuse for the majority of the match. DDP
accidently irish whips Christian into the referee at one point. With
the referee down, Christian grabs the European belt and hits DDP with
it. Christian covers DDP, but the referee is still down. Christian
then tries to wake up the referee and it works. As Christian covers
DDP again, the ref counts 1...2... DDP kicks out. The referee lays
back down, and this time DDP goes for a weapon of his own. He takes a
chair and nails Christian with it. Christian dangles around for a few
until DDP nails him for a second and third time. Christian still
won't fall down, so DDP drops the chair and applies the "Diamond
Cutter" onto Christian. DDP covers Christian. The referee is still
down and takes a little while to notice that there is a cover. He
finally starts counting:
1............................2............................. Christian
just barely gets his shoulder up. DDP thinks he's won, and starts
celebrating! With the referee down, no one is there to tell him that
he hasn't. DDP grabs the European Title and leaves the ring. As he's
leaving, the referee starts the ten count.
1...2...3...4...5..6...7...8...9...10! DDP is almost gone when he
hears the Fink announce "Winner of the bout by count-out: Christian!"

Christian gets on the mic: Page, I beat you! I should be the new
European champion! I challenge you again, right now! Get back here!

DDP thinks about it, and rather than just leave with his title
intact, DDP yells "I accept". Page's ego won't allow for his loss. He
runs back to the ring and DDP and Christian start exchanging blows
again. This time Christian gets the "I'm Prettier" on DDP and covers
him. With his feet on the ropes, the referee who is still on the
ground counts the 1....2.....3! Christian is the new European
Champion!

In the back we see William Regal walking down the hallway. He walks
into Lance Storm. The two stop and stare.

Regal: Good day, Mr. Storm. I wish you luck in our match, you will
need it.

Storm: Hey, Regal. Let's be serious for a moment. You're a great
wrestler, but I was trained by Stu Hart! I'm from Calgary, Alberta in
Canada. You can't even begin to compare to that and neither can RVD.

Regal: Is that so, young man! Well, tonight I will prove to you that
the Queen's blood is more thick than your Canadian blood! Now get out
of my way.

In the arena "One of A Kind" plays and out comes Rob Van Dam. This
contest is for the Intercontinental Championship! Rob Van Dam hops
around in the ring and does his R-V-D gesture for the audience who
join him in glorifying him.

The cheers quickley turn to jeers as Lance Storm's music hits the
speakers. Lance comes out looking even more serious than usual. He
raises his fists into the air and dives into the ring and immediatly
attacks RVD. With a series of punches and kicks, Storm is bringing it
to RVD. RVD counters and hops off the turnbuckles to nail a kick to
Lance Storm. Finally, William Regal's music hits and Regal slowly
makes his way down the entrance ramp with a concerned expression on
his face. Storm and RVD are destroying eachover! The crowd is now
chanting "ECW, ECW!" loudly and its fueling the match. RVD knocks
Storm to the ground and dives up to land on him. Storm moves out of
the way and RVD hits the mat hard. RVD makes it to his feet just in
time to receive a special super kick from Lance Storm. Storm makes a
cover 1...2.. RVD kicks out. Lance Storm lifts RVD up and gives him a
European uppercut (much to Regal's dismay). Lance Storm now has RVD
right where he wants him, in the middle of the ring. He applies the
Canadian Maple Leaf. With no hope of making it to the ropes, RVD is
in trouble. Regal uses this time to finally get involved in the
match. Regal stomps Storm off of RVD and throws Storm over the top
rope. Lance Storm lands with a sickening thud. With RVD down, Regal
takes advantage of the situation and applies the Regal Stretch to
RVD. RVD screams in pain, and he cannot make it to the ropes! Lance
Storm gets back up and quickely gets back to the ring. Right before
RVD was about to tap out, Storm stomps Regal off of RVD. Regal gets
up and gets into Lance Storm's face. He slaps Storm. Storm slaps
Regal back. Then they start hitting eachover with hard fists. Regal
kicks Storm in the stomach and quickley and quietly gets his brass
knuckles out of this wrestling tights. He runs into the turnbuckle
and nails Storm in the head with the brass knucks. Storm is out.
Regal covers Lance Storm 1...2... RVD breaks up the pinfall. Rob Van
Dam sees the knucks on the mat and throws them to the side. He then
hops up to the top rope and dives off onto Regal with a 5-Star Frog
Splash. He covers Regal for the 1...2...3! Rob Van Dam is the new
Intercontinental Champion!
