"If you smeeeeeeeeell what the Rock... is cooking" The Rock's music
hits the speakers at the People's Champion makes his way to the ring,
ready to face the dangerous Scott Hall. Rock enters the ring and
greets the fans the way he always does. His ovation is deafening.
Then the nWo music hits and out comes Scott Hall. He struts his way
confidently down to the ring and doesn't look nervous in the least.
Hall climbs in and stands face to face with the Rock. After starring
eachover down for a few moments, the bell rings. The two men continue
their stare down. Finally, Hall smacks Rock across the face. Rock,
stands still looking to the side. Hall is now talking trash. Finally,
Rock starts nailing Hall with a series of punches. Rock backs Hall
into the corner, takes a moment to look at his fist, and then slams
Hall again. Hall eventually blocks one of Rock's punches and hits the
Rock with a knee to the stomach. Rock bends over in pain, so Hall
hits his forearm into his back shoulders. With an irish whip, Hall
sends Rock flying into the turnbuckles and soon goes running into
Rock with a huge splash. Rock tries to recover and walks away towards
the ropes. Hall charges him, looking for a clothesline, but Rock
ducks and uses Hall's momentum against him to scoop Hall over the
rope and Hall lands outside. Hall makes it back to his feet and grabs
the Rock's ankles and pulls him under the rope. Rock lands on the
floor, and Hall begins to stomp away. Hall then removes an area of
padding on the floor and exposes the bare concrete. He then tries to
set Rock up for the Razor's Edge! With Rock in the air, Hall is about
to slam the Rock down into the concrete when Rock escapes. Hall spins
around, and Rock hits Hall with a DDT. Hall's head hits the padding,
but his body lands on the concrete. Rock climbs back into the ring
and starts taunting Hall. Hall makes it back to his feet and goes for
a steel chair. Rock continues his taunting. Hall climbs back into the
ring with a chair and is about to charge the Rock when the referee
pulls the chair away from Hall. Hall then gets into the referee's
face but turns around and walks right into a Rock Bottom. Rock covers
Hall, for a 1...2... somehow Hall kicks out of the Rock Bottom. The
Rock is beside himself. Suddenly, from behind, enters Triple H. He
makes his way down the walk way. He is clearly concerned about the
end of the match. He has a lot of faith riding on Rock and Austin to
do their parts. For about five minutes, Rock and Hall exchange turns
of beating on eachover. Finally, The Rock gains some momentum. Hall
runs into his spinebuster and he's set up for the People's Elbow.
Rock lands the elbow and is covering Hall when all of a sudden,
Jericho jumps Triple H from behind. The referee notices the
disturbance outside the ring and ignores The Rock's cover. Jericho is
beating down Triple H and charges him with the WWF title. HHH is
busted open! The referee joins a bunch of other officials in trying
to seperate the two. The Rock even gets out of the ring, pushes the
refs off of Jericho, and starts beating on Y2J himself. Scott Hall
makes it back to his feet, and as Rock is returning to the ring he
nails Rock with the chair from earlier. The referee comes back and we
see Scott Hall applying the Razor's Edge to The Rock. Hall slams down
the Rock and covers him for the 1...2...3! Scott Hall wins!
