-The night opened off with a "marketing" survey by Jim Cornette
directed towards the Davis Arena crowd, just before the cameras
started rolling for the TV taping. He surveyed the crowd asking them
if they wanted a new arena with plenty of seats for everyone, and the
crowd responded very enthusiastically. Cornette then went on to say
that Danny Davis had a very important announcement to make, regarding
a new arena next week.

-Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg w/ Nidia vs. Doug Basham & Damaja w/
Victoria

-A fairly good match to open off a very hot and humid night of
wrestling. Basham and Dogg opened things off with a big tie up and
Basham took the initiative with a headlock. Eventually after
reversing Basham Dogg took the upperhand and maintained, most of the
offense. Damaja then decided to break this offensive streak up and
attacked Redd Dogg, but used his head to dodge a splash attempt by
Damaja, and followed with a solid DDT. Shelton Benjamin was tagged in
from here and exchanged a series of reversals with Damaja ending with
Benjamin delivering a flying cross body. Dogg was then tagged in and
the two delivered a back body drop to Basham and followed with one to
Damaja. Damaja after deciding he had enough punishment managed to
slip his way back into the ring and delibilerately choked Redd Dogg.
The two ran a series of moves after this ending with Redd Dogg using
all of his strength delivering a dramatic spinebuster. As Dogg slowly
made his way up, he reached for the fresh hand of his tag team
partner Shelton Benjamin, who easily cleaned house of Basham and
Damaja. Benjamin showcased his cat-like agility climbing to the top
rope walking to the center, with no support and delivering a big
double lariat to the two.Benjamin continued to wear down Basham until
he was able to pull off a sunset flip over the top rope, Basham
although did not fall because Victoria grabbed his hands, holding him
up. Nidia saw this and ran over and attacked the "Queen" allowing
Benjamin to gain the rollup and the pinflall.

-Winner via pinfall Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg

-Johnny Jeter vs. Mark Magnus DARK MATCH

-Jeter, who I have learned was invited to the WWF(E) Tryout camp
recently showcased just as much as he could against Magnus. The match
was decent with some decent spots, but Magnus is clearly not ready in
the ring. He may have the look, but that may be it. Jeter on the
other hand is not far from making it on OVW TV. The two went back and
forth with Magnus playing the heel. The match ended after Magnus
gained the pinfall after Jeter missed the Swanton Bomb.

-Winner via pinfall Mark Magnus

-Johnny Spade vs. David Flair

-A very entertaining match overall, and a pretty short one at that.
The match got underway as Spade attempted to deliver a mean chop to
Flair, but to no avail, as Flair retailiated with a series of hard
chops, echoing throughout the arena. Spade eventually got some of the
offense back, and was even able to set up Flair for his "Spade-ton"
Bomb. Of course set up was all that he could manage to do tonight as
Flair rolled out of the way, dodging Spades high risk maneuver. Flair
then delivered a knee buster and applied the figure four leglock
forcing Spade to submit.

-Winner via submission David Flair

-Sean O'Haire w/ Kenny Bolin vs. Leviathan
DARK MATCH

-I've actually reported this match twice already, over the previous
weeks, but I shall report this match again, as it was somewhat
different. Early on the crowd chanted "Porky" showing their hatred
towards Kenny "the King" Bolin, but this changed to a
thundering "Demon" chant as O'Haire asked the big man for the test of
strength. The match was fairly slow paced, playing mainly to the
crowd, as it was a non-televised match. This "test" ended as Bolin
distracted Leviathan allowing O'Haire to pull off a cheap shot, and
initiating the offense attack on the "Demon". The two took turns
trading headlocks on each other, until O'Haire decided to attack the
knee of Leviathan. Eventually after a somewhat recovery of the hurt
knee of Leviathan, the "Demon" managed to put O'Haire in
Bolin's "firing range" as Bolin hit O'Haire by mistake. After this
Leviathan delivered a flying lariat and picked up the pinfall. After
the match, O'Haire obviously upset with Bolin got him into the ring
and stared him down. Bolin attempted to beg for forgiveness, but it
almost seemed certain that O'Haire was going to hit Bolin. O'Haire
then offered a handshake which "the King" gladly agreed to, as the
two went back to the locker room as happy friends.

-Winner via pinfall Leviathan

-Jim Cornette, after the commercial break, was joined by Rob Conway
and Nick Dinsmore for an interview segment. Rob Conway opened off on
the mic, talking about their Southern Tag Title shot at the WWE House
Show Friday May 17 in Louisville and talked about how they were going
to win the titles back from the Revolution. Dinsmore then got on the
mic and started talking about an ongoing angle with Flash. Apparently
Flash had some sort of problem with Dinsmore outside of the arena and
Cornette wanted to help clarify. Almost immediately Trailer Park
Trash and Flash storm the ring, still upset with Dinsmore as Flash
got on the mic. He called out Dinsmore and delivered a hard slap to
Nick enraging Dinsmore. The two were then pulled apart, but Jim
Cornette stopped them to tell them that they would get a chance to
fight each other, and that would be next for the TV Main Event.

-Nick Dinsmore w/ Rob Conway vs. Flash w/ Trailer Park Trash' TV MAIN
EVENT

-This was a very good and heated match, as the two apparently had a
huge grudge towards one another. The two opened off with a strong
tieup, turning all the way around the ring. The two continued to go
at it with full force. Eventually Flash started to deliver an
extremely loud chop, while at the same time Damaja and Doug Basham
joined Jim Cornette and Dean Hill in the commentators booth. I could
not hear what they were saying, but I'm sure they were promoting the
Freedom Hall House Show match. After Flash chopped Dinsmore, Dinsmore
did not back down, he delivered three very loud chops right back at
Flash, but lost the upperhand. Flash then set Dinsmore up, but the
quick Dinsmore moved, just before Flash was about to land a
Springboard cross body. The mat technician Dinsmore took down Flash
to slow things down, as the crowd exchanged "Go Nick Go" and "Go
Flash Go". Minutes later, Flash pulled off a backflip over Dinsmore,
but landed funny on his knee, and went down. It was apparent that he
was hurt, and Dinsmore stopped his attack. Just as Dinsmore attempted
to check out what happend Flash stood right up and kicked Dinsmore
hard in the mid section with his "injured" knee, as he wasn't even
injured at all. Dinsmore made it to his feet and was then the
recipient of a crescent kick right to the face. Dinsmore eventually
ended up outside of the ring, and Flash pulled off a Springboard
Plancha to the outside of the ring to Dinsmore, right in front of the
standing room only crowd. Dinsmore was eventually brought into the
ring, worn out, but as Flash climbed to the top rope, Nick climbed to
his feet, just in time to dropkick the top rope, causing Flash to
rack himself hard. Victoria, Damaja and Doug Basham then ran in and
attacked Rob Conway, as the ref attempted to pull it apart. "Smooth"
Johnny Spade then ran in with a bag of powder in his hand and through
it into the eyes of Flash and got on top of him and started pummeling
him. Dinsmore saw this and threw Spade out of the ring. He tried
picking Flash up, but Flash started punching wildly at Dinsmore and
the two started brawling on the ground. Eventually Flash punched
referee Robert Briscoe, by mistak, and the ref DQ'd Flash. After the
bell rang and all out brawl between Dinsmore and Conway against
Trailer Park Trash and Flash began which could barely be broken up by
the babyface locker room. Even Jim Cornette had to come down to the
ring to break things up and settle things down as the cameras went
off the air, concluding another great week of Ohio Valley
Wrestling.
