Howard Finkel comes out to inform us of travel difficulties of Rob
Van Dam and Booker T, said we had to the end of the second match to
get full refunds.
To the first match of the night was between Crash and Christian.
Crash won and Christian had one of his fits, good opener to get the
crowd going, which was a sellout of about 5500 people.
Match two was between Randy Orton , I believe, and Brock Lesnar,
crowd not that into it that much but gave them a little support for
not knowing that much about them. Brock was the winner.
Match three was between Trish Stratus and Jazz for the Women's title,
not too bad of a match with Jazz being the winner, I was impressed
with it.
Up next was Faarooq vs. Test with Test winning with the boot to the
face, even with Bradshaw running in to help. For all his troubles he
gets the boot to the head after the match was done.
Bradshaw gets on the mic to get some heat by having the American
Anthem cued up after the intermission for his match against Lance
Storm, also putting down us Canadians and how they bailed us out of
WWII. Lance Storm comes out after intermission and says that he may
live in Calgary but on his birth certificate it said that he was born
in Sarnia General Hospital, and that Lance Storm is taking the night
off and that Lance Evers will be wrestling in front of his home crowd
and family. Oh yeah, Lance wins.
Next was for the Light Heavy title between X-Pac and Spike Dudley
with X-Pac winning with the X-Factor.
Next was Mr. Perfect vs. Rikishi, with Rikishi coming out on top. Mr.
Perfect thought that he got the better of Rikishi by putting a towel
on his face for the stinkface but he got the side kick too the head
for his efforts and then the Banzai Drop to the chest for the loss.
The main event was between Val Venis and Your Olympic Hero Kurt
Angle, with Val getting the clean win with Kurt's own Olympic Slam.
After the match Angle gets on the mike too say that since he was to
wrestle Rob Van Dam, so the loss to Val Venis doesn't count. He then
ripped on the Canadian Olympic hockey team, saying they beat a bunch
of second string Americans, not the real players.
