Former WWF Intercontinental Champion and multiple time European title
holder, Eddie Guerrero, recently performed in a match for New Japan
Pro Wrestling. This was the first time he had entered a New Japan Pro
Wrestling ring since he had wrestled for the WCW. During the match in
which he wrestled, he teamed up with Minoru Tanaka and Black Tiger to
take on Koji Kanemoto, Jado, and Gedo. The match ended in a no
contest. On a quick note regarding Black Tiger: When Eddie had
previously wrestled in NJPW, he wrestled under a mask as the Black
Tiger. At this show 'Silver King' was the Black Tiger.
-- Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who at one time was a large superstar in
the WWF, has recently been the cause of some controversy in the UK.
For years, he has been using large snakes to taunt and frighten
opponents, but only recently has any sort of animal rights violation
cropped up. During each match, Jake would bring a snake to the ring.
His chosen snake would reside within a bag that is left by the ring
apron.
-- At a recent UK event, Roberts supposedly hit an opponent with the
bag whilst a snake was inside it. This has caused nothing but
headaches for a certain UK promoter, as Animal Rights Activists are
putting him under investigation. A full article concerning how a
possible animal rights violation could cost a promoter his license
was published in The Northampton Chronicle.
