At the No Way Out pay-per view, the nWo were asked to arrive at the
building at 11:00am to discuss their roles in PPVs. For some reason,
the writing team didn't arrive until nearly 12:30pm. Hulk Hogan,
Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall felt it would be a gut-check to test them
out in so many words. So the following day on RAW, the three showed
up at 2:00pm when they were asked to arrive at 11:00am. This upset
and angered a lot of wrestlers as no real punishment was served to
the guys, when controversy has stirred over guys like Jeff Hardy for
arriving a few hours late here and there.
-- As I have previously reported, this year's WrestleMania will be
heavily promoted around the return of Hulk Hogan to a WWF ring for
the first time since 1993, as have probably noticed by now. The plan
was for Rock to have time off all the way until WrestleMania for "The
Scorpion King" re-shoots and voice-overs much like he did for No Way
Out missing all television and showing up at the pay-per view itself.
It appears as though now the plan is to bring The Rock back ahead of
schedule for another week of promotion against the nWo for more
WrestleMania 18 build-up.
-- Last night on WWF Excess, Ivory (stand-in co host) and Jonathan
Coachman announced one member of the New World Order, whether it be
Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, or Scott Hall, will in-fact have an actual
match on this coming Monday's RAW. It is expected that it will be
Kevin Nash due to long-term plans showing him matchless going into
WrestleMania. The WWF thinks this will be a good way to drive ratings
as it will be the first televised match by either Hulk Hogan, Kevin
Nash, or Scott Hall, whomever they may choose, in 5-10 years.
