February 19th: Last weekend was one of the most newsworthy weekends
in ROH history. Of course the big story is that Takeshi Morishima
won the ROH World Title from Homicide last Saturday in Philadelphia.
There is an article on the main page of ROHwrestling.com detailing
the title win. We will have much more on this all week right here in
the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. Morishima will make his first defense
of the title against BJ Whitmer this Friday in Dayton. Morishima has
stated that if he makes it past Whitmer, he will defend it in Tokyo
at Budokan Hall on March 4th against KENTA. If Whitmer does not win
the World Title in Dayton, there will be no ROH World Title defenses
on the big shows in Liverpool and Detroit. The pressure is on
Whitmer this weekend. The ROH Video Wire this week will have
highlights of Morishima's matches against Samoa Joe and Homicide. If
you are unfamiliar with the new ROH World Champion you need to see
this week's ROH Video Wire. It will be available for FREE later this
week at ROHvideos.com.

February 19th: The other major news story is ROH's 2006 tag team of
the year split up. Roderick Strong shocked everyone at the sold out
Manhattan Center last Friday by turning on Austin Aries. Check out
the article on the main page of ROHwrestling.com for the details. By
the end of the weekend, Strong, Aries and Jack Evans all said that
they would put new factions together. This will be a very
interesting story to follow and we'll have more details this week in
the ROHwrestling.com Newswire.

February 19th: Due to the Davey Richards injury last weekend, Davey
Richards vs. Samoa Joe will take place this Friday in Dayton. ROH
officials are still working out the card due to the lineup switch
and we will have some new match announcements tomorrow. There is one
major match to announce right now. This Friday's event in Dayton
will be five years to the day of the very first ROH event. The first
ROH show was made by a three way pitting Low Ki vs. Christopher
Daniels vs. Bryan Danielson. This Friday in Dayton will see a three
way and it will include the three athletes that competed on the very
first ROH show. Dayton will witness ROH World Tag Team Champion
Christopher Daniels vs. Homicide vs. Jay Briscoe!!! Get tickets now
at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500.

February 19th: The buy 3, get 1 free sale is back at
www.ROHWrestling.com on all ROH show, Straight Shootin' and Secrets
Of The Ring DVDs. Out now is 12/22 "International Challenge" with a
fantastic main event as Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal defend the
ROH World Tag Team Titles against the Dragon Gate duo of CIMA &
Shingo. Plus: Roderick Strong defends the FIP Heavyweight Title vs.
Davey Richards in an excellent match; Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide
vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Nigel McGuinness; Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Chris
Hero & Claudio Castagnoli; Colt Cabana vs. Brent Albright; BJ
Whitmer & Daizee Haze vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Mercedes Martinez; Adam
Pearce vs. Delirious; Austin Aries vs. Eddie Edwards; Jason Blade
vs. Pelle Primeau and more including the debut of Larry Sweeney. You
can include this and "Final Battle 2006" with Homicide vs. Bryan
Danielson in the buy 3, get 1 sale now at ROHwrestling.com.

February 19th: Make sure to check www.Tickets.com for great seats to
almost every ROH show.

February 19th: We'll have much more on this Saturday's debut at the
Windy City Fieldhouse in Chicago in tomorrow's ROHwrestling.com
Newswire. We have one big match to announce today. Last time in
Chicago, Jimmy Rave made BJ Whitmer tap to the heel hook after Jimmy
Jacobs attacked Whitmer's ankle with a chair. Now Whitmer wants his
win back on Rave. It will be BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Rave this Saturday
at the Windy City Fieldhouse. This is an easy location to get to on
public transportation as it is in the heart of CHICAGO itself. The
Windy City Field House is located on 2367 W Logan Blvd which is
located on the corner of LOGAN & WESTERN. The Windy City Field House
is in a very SAFE and PUBLIC part of Chicago, IL located right next
to a huge TARGET and KERASOTE MOVIE THEATRE with both FREE and
affordable parking available. It is visible directly off the I-90/94
Highway and accessible right off the WESTERN AVE exit. The Windy
City Fieldhouse is also extremely easy to get to using the CTA or
Public Transportation from either anyway in Chicago or both Midway
and Ohare Airports. Visit TRIPSWEB.RTACHICAGO.COM to map out YOUR
easiest way to get to the WINDY CITY FIELD HOUSE.
